Heart break? It happens!!!

POV: Matty

"I said that out loud didn't I?" I asked

She chuckled and replied,
"Yeah, you did! I'm sorry you have to be in this mess" she said lowering her head

"No, No.... I'm meant you, what have you gotten yourself into..." I rambled on to make her understand

"Oh..." was all she said, sighing heavily,

"Its ok to miss him Gust!" I said patting her shoulders

"I shouldn't have accepted to this 'Make Phil jealous plan'. if I had known this plan will get me here, I would've said no. But, fuck my assumptions" she said wiping her tears

By now I understood. It was all a plan, to make Phil jealous. It had back fired

"From tomorrow, I can't stand beside him and I can't look at his face for all day" She said,

I looked at her confused

"Why not?" I asked

"Because I told him I'll stay away from him, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do. I don't want to be a burden to anyone!"

"I know Gust. It'll be hard for you to move on!" I told her

"Who said anything about moving on?" she said chuckling and wiping her tears.

I looked at her as if she had grown three heads. Ok, now I'm confused

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Well, I said I'll stay away from him. Doesn't mean that I'll move on! There's nothing to move on Matty, Though its hard to believe, Phil was my everything. Is my everything. And will be my everything!" she said proudly. But tears still evident in her eyes

"Even if he got married?" I asked out of the blue

Her face fell immediately, and I regretted my question.
Fuck my mouth, sometimes it really doesn't know when to shut the fuck up!

"Yes, even If he got married" she said sadly

How can a girl love some one like this? My respect for Gust grew a hundred times more. I looked at her amused

"As a friend, I'm giving you a promise. Gust, if this Philip guy doesn't get married to you, I'll make sure to kick his balls on his wedding!" I said crossing my heart

She looked at me surprised and laughed a bit. After that she wiped her tears and straigntened her hair, stood up. Though she tried so hard to not to look broken, she's so broken up! I can literally see it from her eyes

"Its already late Matty, we should head home!" she said adjusing her dress

I stood up

"And this car.. Its also Phil's gift for my 16 th birthday" she said looking at her car as if it was the purest thing in the world.

I've never prayed for anyone in my life except for my brother. But, I'm praying god, to make her strong. I know she's already strong, but I want her to be more strong for the unknown future events

"Gust, I'm not saying this just to make you feel better. But, you know, Everything is gonna be alright!" I told her truthfully. It's the fact

She hugged me as a reply. This time, I hugged her back. Somehow I haven't felt awkward. This time, it felt like normal, and I liked it. After few seconds of hugging, she leaned back.

"Thank you Matty!" she said looking me in the eyes

"For everything" she said genuinely

"What are friends are for" I told her smiling a bit
