I looked down at my watch.

6:54pm

I desperately didn't want to be late.

I can't be late...

I only realize the rain is bitterly cold because my skin carries the heat of my blood. My exasperation warms my body; boiling inside of me like the sun.

How could they take something that is so valuable to me. A hollow pit is now left in my chest from where Y/n isn't. Finding her is the only way to fill this hole.

As I stride onwards towards the department store, my eyes closely scrutinize the atmosphere around me. Even though darkness engulfs the parking lot, my pupils dilate to see if I'm being followed. The raindrops continue to kiss my skin as I spacial jump into the department store. I gaze longingly around the store, grabbing a flashlight from a nearby shelf. I turn it on; the whole room lighting up. The illumination bringing me comfort as I could make out objects that surrounded me.

I inspected ever isle and corridor, pacing gingerly, leaving no place untouched.

I have to find my precious Y/n...

Despair began to contaminate me. "Did they even come? Was this just a set up?" My internal thoughts were screaming.

Just as I had lost hope, I saw her. Her fragile body was tied tightly to a wooden chair.

"Y/n!" I sighed in reassurance. "You have no idea how good it is to see you. I've missed you so much...obviously. I haven't been able to take my mind off you. I thought they had....you know..."

Y/n's head rose instantly when she heard my voice. Her face instantaneously lighting up at me, yet something was erroneous; wrong. "Five! I missed you so much" She cried, a single tear rolling down her cheek. "There here, t-there going to kill both of us"

"Not on my watch. Look I'm going to leave you here, but just trust me ok? I'll get us both out" I confronted, earning a perplexed expression from her.

I swiftly turned round to be greeted by Hazel and Cha-Cha.

"No! Oh, shit! It's them. I'll be right back for you, I promise. I'll distract them", I whispered to Y/n as I spacial jumped to a different isle.

"You see that!? The way he just disappeared into thin air?" Cha-Cha revealed.

"They said he was special. So now what?", Hazel replied.

"You start over there, I'll go to the other end. Meet in the middle. Shoot anything that moves!".

Hazel and Cha Cha's bullets ripped through the air, lacerating the room with every round. My body came to a halt. Unintentionally my guard was let down, my head spinning round to study Y/n. She was left unmarked; untouched. It was only when they saw me do this when they unleashed more gunshots, directly in Y/n's direction. Shards of metal lashing the wood, causing the chair legs to fall to pieces; disintegrate. Her chair pummeled to the floor, striking the ground with great momentum. Y/n's body still tethered with the restraining rope. Wood chips exploding into the air, thrashing at her face. One segment hit her face so forcefully that she was knocked unconscious.

"No!" I roared.

I spacial jumped to the opposite end of the store, kicking over a glass display case to divert them. Items flew out, breaking or bouncing on the floor. Hazel sprinted in my direction, holding up his gun and opening firing. The roaring of the metal bullets ran through my system, causing my face to scrunch up at the deafening, resonating sound.
