Sea On The Horizons

Camp

We drove our boat all over the island but everywhere as far as the eyes can see are covered deeply with water.
We didn't give up for three days and when I was resting inside the rooms William came down and said with excitement:"We found land!"

I ran out to see a big pile of land,filled with houses and cars.We landed the boat and stepped on actual grass for the first time in almost a week.
The storm was on like always so we grabbed a piece of wood on the ground for a temporary umbrella and went to the highest building of this land.The training camp stood in front of me as I watched in confusion.I never knew there was a camp here but I wasn't here to complain about it.

We gathered some instant ramen and canned food to settle for the night.I sighed while devouring a canned soup.How did all this even happen?Did other places flood too?A million questions flew though my head but I was interrupted by a voice.

"You two!What are you doing here?"

I almost spat all the things in my mouth.I swallowed my mixed soup and Will spoke:"We don't mean any harm.We just want to rest here for a couple days.""You can't just intrude my property without permission or offers!""Well,what can we do for you?""There is something..."

"Will,are you sure this is a good idea?"The pistol in my hand felt like a mini barbell in my hands.
"We don't have a choice.This place is the only building that will stand after this night.I don't want to drown in my sleep."I sighed again.

"Careful!You have already seen what those creatures are capable of."My palms sweated like a shower and my eyes scanned the full place.

"I spotted one!"The monster didn't notice me so Will told me to shoot.Bam!The sound nearly deafened the both of us,the recoil of the pistol almost threw me over and now my right hand felt exhausted.

The creature's head blasted into pieces before it can even scream.

"That was successful!"I was happy about defeating the monster but suddenly William pushed me to the ground.The sound of a sword cutting though air filled my ears and I saw it.
The monster landed just a few meters in front of me and started screaming while charging for another attack.I didn't even think and shot it with my gun.The pain was excruciating but the monster fell to the ground in a pit of black liquid.I looked at William at was relieved when he stood up.

The screaming got louder and louder,and the creatures were getting closer.Suddenly more gunshots came from behind."Get in the camp!"

We ran to the door,The other person closed it and locked it as fast as he did and we pushed a car to the door."It's no use!They can cut though metal like cutting a piece of bread!"The person looked at us and had a confident look in his eyes."I have a backup plan!"

We ran to the lower ground ignoring the noises of the monsters and he showed us a small cruise ship."How did you own this!?""Question later,The things are catching up!"

I went inside and immediately got on the dock.The creatures are moving at the speed of a bicycle,the way their paws dig into the ground gave me goosebumps."Let's leave!"Shouted the man in the control room.The engines turned on and before The monsters could cut the ship in half,We escaped from them a second time.
