Long before time had a name, the First Spinjitzu
Master created Ninjago using four elemental weapons. But when he passed, a dark presence sought out to collect them all: Lord Garmadon. But instead of finding four ninja, Sensei Wu found five.

Lord Vortech: "Yes... I've found it!"
Unknown Cubic Creature: "Uh... you found it?"
Lord Vortech: "After all these years of searching, it really exists... Foundation Prime. This depicts the Foundation Elements - artifacts from the start of time, scattered across the dimensions. And only I can gather them all in one place"
Unknown Cubic Creature: "Just so you know... the Foundation Elements are the cornerstones of time and space. So they're... Kinda important. To the... Entire universe"
Lord Vortech: "Your services are no longer required"
Unknown Cubic Creature: "But the elements can't be safely harnessed - it's too dangerous! And what about that pay raise you promised meeeee...?!"
Lord Vortech: (Evil laughter) "I will have them all, I will control their power. I will make universes collide!"
Lord Vortech: "Aargh-" (He starts to grow big and blocky) "No! I will not be denied perfection!" (He shrinks back to normal size, but is on the ground)
Lord Vortech: "My dedication to this work has taken its toll. Not for much longer can I freely pass between dimensions..."
Lord Vortech: "But, there is another way"
He uses his powers to create a thing on Foundation Prime and laughs maniacally.
In Gotham City, Bane is driving away on his drill vehicle, holding a lot of Kryptonite. He is being chased by Robin on his motorcycle, and Batman in his Batmobile, so he starts throwing a few Kryptonite at them, in hopes of making them crash.
