You watched with a smirk on your face as  Aang tried to impress Katara with his air-bending skills. She didn't look up, but congratulated him on it anyways. She was too focused on fixing her brother's pants.

"Stop bugging her airhead. You need to give girls space when they do their sewing." Sokka says, acting all high and mighty.

"What does me being a girl have to do with sewing?" Katara strikes a good question, one you would like to know as well.

"Simple, girls are better at fixing pants than guys. And guys are better at hunting and fighting and stuff like that. It just the natural order of things." Sokka shrugs as if it was true. You narrowed your eyes at him.

"I bet I could take down a fire-bender faster than you." You cross your arms, looking dead straight at Sokka, eyeing him.

"All done with your pants!" Katara smiles as she turns around the pants with the crotch undone. "And look what a great job I did!"

Katara throws the pants at Sokka's head as he goes to inspect it, poking his fingers through the hole. He panic's and tries to get her to fix it.
"I was just joking! Not, Katara, please, I can't wear these!" Sokka's voice almost cracks. "Y/n, you can fix these right?"

"Does it look like I know how to sew?" You turn to him, an eyebrow raised.

"...yeah?"

"I-" You don't even answer him before you whack him on the back of the head.

"Don't sorry Sokka, where we're going, you won't need any pants!" Aang says happily as he lands Appa on the shore of an Island.

"But we just made a pit stop yesterday. Shouldn't we get a little more flying in before we camp out." Sokka complains, Katara (for the first time you've seen) agrees with him.

"But Appa's already tired, aren't you boy?" Aang says, nudging Appa who didn't make a sound. "...I said, 'aren't you, boy?'" Appa then forces a yawn, you chuckle.

"Yeah, that was reeeaaaalll convincing. Still, hard to agrue with a 10 ton magical monster." Sokka gives in.

"Look!" Aang suddenly runs to the edge of the ocean. "That's why we're here! The Elephant Koi! And I'm going to ride it!" Aang gets rid of his clothes, leaving him in his underwear. "Katara, you have got to watch me!" And with that, Aang dives into the ocean.

You watched at the end of the shore line to keep an eye on Aang. You noticed how Sokka signalled that Aang was crazy. You sigh and shake your head. "He never matured past the age of six."

"Hey, why aren't you going to ride on one?" Katara asks.

"I've done it a few times before, and I think it would be better to watch Aang." You say to her.

"Well, he looks pretty good out there." Katara then complements Aang. "Oh, No- APPA!!!, don't eat that!"
Katara then runs away to stop Appa from eating something he shouldn't.

"Let me be the first to say, Aang totally like Katara." You lean back.

"Yeah, she's a little interested in him as well." Sokka adds.
"I can see their wedding." You say sarcastically as you wipe a fake tear from your eye. Sokka laughs a bit.

"...hey, what's that in the water?" Sokka questions, trying to get a better look on whatever it was.

"Huh? What? Where?" You stand up and instantly noticed to giant dark thing swimming towards. "We need to get him out of the water."
You where about to run forward, but Sokka stopped you by grabbing your arm.

"No way, you might get eaten by that thing as well!" Sokka says, shaking his head.

"'As well'?! The hell is that supposed to mean?!" You turn back to Aang and start to signal Aang back to safety.
When Katara came back over and noticed the strange dark figure in the ocean, she too also tried to warn Aang.

The three of us were flailing our arms around in desperate hope to get Aang's attention. When Aang saw us, he just smiled and waved until he noticed the giant thing and started to run with the funniest face.
You jumped out of the way, so Aang wouldn't run right into you.

"Aang, are you okay?" Katara asks, as she runs up to Aang.
"I'm good." Aang shakes the water off him.
"What was that thing?"

"I don't know, I've never seen it before." Aang says, puzzled.

"Well, let's not stick around to find out, let's hit the road-" Sokka tried to get back to Appa, but suddenly, a group of anyomous people came down from the trees.
Acting as quickly as you could, you pushed Aang out of the way, but he was caught. Someone grabbed your shoulders, so you flipped them over your body, but you ended up on the ground when two people attacked you.
"...Or we could stay for a while?"

"You four have some explaining to do." A voice called out, most likely talking to us.
"And if you don't answer, we're throwing you back in with the Unagi." A girl added.

"Show yourselves, cowards!?" Sokka yelled, he was right next to you, so you elbowed him. "hey, ow."

Our blindfolds were taken off out heads to reveal an old man and a group of what appeared to be female warriors. You wondered how that tasted to Sokka, the little prick.

"Who are you, where are the men who ambushed us?" Sokka demanded, you sighed and shook your head.

"There were no men. We ambushed you." The voice of the girl came from the closest warrior. "Now tell us who you are, and what your doing here."

"Wait a second, there no way a bunch of girls took us down." Sokka tried to defend his masculinity. You rolled your eyes and kicked him hard in the shin. "Ouch! Hey!"

"Bunch of girls, huh?" The female warrior who was most likely the leader, leaned forward. "The Unagi will eat well tonight."

"Don't hurt him! He didn't mean that! My brother is just an idiot." Katara frantically tried to explain.

"It's my fault." Aang looked down, everyone turned their heads towards him. "I wanted to ride the elephant-koi. I'm sorry."

"And how do we know your not Fire-Nation spies?" The old man asked.

"Do we look like fire-nation? does he not see my tattoos?" You silently whispered.

"Kyoshi has managed to stay out of the war so far and we intend to keep that way." The old man nods his head at the end of his sentence.

"This island is name for Kyoshi? I know Kyoshi!" Aang said happily, for a moment, you forgot he was the Avatar.

"Ha." The eldery man scoffed. "How could you know Kyoshi? She was the Avatar over 400 years ago. She's been dead for centuries."

"I know because I am the Avatar." Aang smiles innocently.

"That's impossible, the last Avatar went missing 100 years ago." The man is clearly small minded or just simply stubborn. "Throw the imposter to the Unagi."

"Aang, do some airbending." Katara grits her teeth to Aang.
"As in now, boy." You add.

Aang smiles kindly as he air bends himself out of the ropes and up into the air. The people around us gasps and follow him with their eyes. Aang landed on the Kyoshi statue. Everyone begun whispering in admiration and awe.
You watched eyes wide as one guy started to freak out and his mouth bubbled up and then he fainted.

You shook it off and got yourself out of the ropes, helping Katara and leaving Sokka to pick himself up. If the boy doesn't think a girl can fight he doesn't deserve your help.
"It's true! You are the Avatar."

"Is that guy okay?" You asked, gesturing to the fainted man with foam coming out of his mouth.
