"Thank you officers, it wont happen again i can promise you that much." says laurel

"Tell Mr. Fisher cheif wants to set up a tee time when he gets back in town"says one of the officers

"Absouloutly, sorry again for all the trouble. Have a good night, officers." Laurel apologies

"How could you guys be so irresponsible?" She says turning to us with a disappointed look on her face

"Mom, it wasnt a big deal. all right? Seriously." Steven says stepping up

"The cops were just looking to break the bonfire" he adds

"Not a big deal" Laurel says repeating Steven

"Yes." Steven saye

"I would say getting picked up by cops for underage drinking is a pretty big deal Steven"

Steven sniffs the air and scoffs.

"Were-were you guys, you guys smoking tonight" Steven says unimpressed

"What?" Laurel says

I look over at Laurel with wide eyes.

"Keep your voice down. Susannah's asleep on the couch" laurel says squinting her eyes and hushing us

"Laurel Steven wasnt yelling. You were." i say with a questioning look

"Just so you know Laurel me and y/n didnt drink tonight. I swear." Jereamiah says defending me and pointing out the obvious fact that i dont like to drink at social events for obvious reasons

"Your the oldest. What the hells gotten into you? And what the hell happened to your face?" She said looking at Conrad

"Laurel that isn't fair on Conrad, there was no way he could've watched over all of us at the same time" i say defending him

"Okay then what about you" she says questioning me

"I was preoccupied with my own problems" i say

"What do you mean your own problems"

"Problems laurel problems that led to Conrad getting hurt. I'll tell you what happened I promise but now's not the time" i say feeling slightly rushed

"When did you leave the house without telling anybody? And what in the world are you wearing?" She says looking at Belly

"It's Taylors. And why am i the only one who's not allowed to go out" Belly asks

"It's not that your not allowed,its that you shouldve told us you were going. and how did you even get there?"

"I wa-"

"I drove her" i cut Belly off before she can say anything that could get her into trouble

Belly looks at me confused

"She told me she couldn't sleep and asked if I could pick her up so I did, I asked if she told you and she said you guys were already asleep" i say defending Belly

"is that true" laurel asks Belly

"yeah" belly says while glancing at me

"Either way you guys shouldve known better" laurel says looking at all of us

"Can you stop treating us like were kids" I say annoyed considering were all old enough to make our own decisions

"If you want to be treated like an adult, you need to act like one"

"Then maybe you guys should,too." Conrad says coldly

"What does that mean? i hope you realize this night couldve ended a lot differently if your family wasnt your family"
