Mari's POV
"Love, gising na po... Kain na tayo ng breakfast." I slowly shook Annie's shoulders to wake her up.
"Hmmm... Pangga, five more minutes, please." She replied while covering her face with a pillow.
"Sige ka, pag hindi ka bumangon diyan, hindi tayo matutuloy ngayong araw. I took a leave sa work, kaya we have the whole day to ourselves. Kaya gumising kana, Love." I said as I constantly tap her shoulders.
"OMG! Really?! Wait, call muna ako sa office." She replied.
"Sir, I'm not feeling well po [fake cough], I think I need time off baka kasi mahawa ko pa kayo at mag cause ako ng outbreak mamaya sa event natin." I just laughed while listening to Annie reasoning out to her boss.
*Hay nako, mukhang may pinagmanahan talaga si Paulina* I thought to myself as I remembered Paulina's story about having to fake sick just to celebrate Annie's birthday two years ago.
"Hey, Pangga! I'm set na! Ready nako to whatever you have planned for us today." Annie appeared out of nowhere, backhugging me.
"Nagulat naman ako sa'yo, Love. Oh siya, sige na, kain na muna tayo then ligo so that we can start our day na." I replied while facing her and cupping her beautiful face.
"Okieeee! Excited nako, Pangga!" She said to me, smiling.
"Me too, Love! So, say ahhhh..." I replied habang sinubuan siya ng pagkain. Today will be all about Annie. Kailangan ko talaga bumawi sa girlfriend ko. She has been patient for so long and ayoko na dumating ang araw na pagsisihan niya yung pakikipagrelasyon sakin. I have to step up my game and not just focus on the future. I have to be in the present too.
"Pangga ko? Are you okay? Biglang napalalim ang pag-isip mo? May problema ba? Annie was asking me with eyes full of worry.
"No Love, walang problema. Sige ubusin na natin yung pagkain para makapag-ayos na tayo." I said smiling at her.

Annie's POV
"I'm getting worried, masyadong malalim ang mga tingin at isip ni Mari lately. What is she thinking about ba? Do you think she's contemplating about our relationship? Baka makikipag-break na siya sakin. Hindi ko kakayanin, Sweetheart." Pabulong kong kinausap si Paulina sa telepono habang nasa banyo pa si Mari.
"Yan ka nanaman, Sweetheart. Napaka-praning mo talaga. Hindi ka iiwan ni Ate Lens, e mahal na mahal ka kaya nu'n. Baka marami lang inaasikasong kaso sa trabaho. You know naman na napaka-workaholic niyang girlfriend mo." Paulina replied at gumaan naman ang pakiramdan ko ng marinig ko when I heard Paulina's explanation.
"Okay, that could be the reason. Sige, Sweetheart! Thank youuuuu! Tawag nalang ako mamaya. I love you!" I said before ending the call.
"Love, asan ka na ba? It's your turn to take a shower na." Mari called out to me, and I immediately went to where she was, offered her a quick kiss, and entered the bathroom na.
"Pangga, sa'n ba tayo pupunta?" I asked Mari who was beside me while I look for an outfit.
"It's a surprise, but I think I know na why you're asking, I guess you could wear something casual." She replied. Kilalang-kilala na talaga ako ni Mari. She knows how much I hate to be out of place, so I make sure that I always dress appropriately pag meron akong lakad.
I just nodded, picked a casual outfit, paired it with sandals, and then applied some light makeup.
"I'm done na, Pangga! Tara?" I looked over to her direction and presented myself dahil tapos na akong mag ayos.
