Maudie POV

"DJ KABOOM KLIMSON IN THE HOUSE!" Kyle shouted.

Everyone cheered loudly.

Seems like Kyle has a lot of fans.

I took a sip of my Capri-sun.

I have to admit,

I'm kind of disappointed I don't have a date for my first dance.

Not that I want something romantic,

I just want to experience dancing with someone for my first dance.

However it's not important.

Also, I'm too young for dates-

"Hey Maudie."

I flinched a little, almost spitting out the Capri-sun.

I turned around and wiped my mouth.

I saw Ezra, seated next to me.

I swallowed my drink and smiled.

"Ezra, you gave me a fright." I said.

I apparently wasn't observant enough.

"Oh, sorry." Ezra said, rather glumly.

"Ava made you come, didn't she?" I asked.

Ezra nodded as he looked down.

"Same here, I'm not too upset though." I said.

"I am, I could be downloading software and hacking into Kyle's Fortnite account." Ezra sighed.

"Why would you hack Kyle's Fortnite account?" I asked as I raised an eyebrow.

"For fun and because I can." Ezra said as he looked at me.

"Good answer." I smiled.

"Also Kyle asked me to check if his account was hackable. It is." Ezra said.

I giggled.

"Of course it is, What's his password? 'Password'?" I joked.

"Yes, except the o is an e, so it's-" Ezra said.

"Pass-werd." We both said in unison.

We both smiled and laughed.

"So what did Ava threaten you with?" I asked.

"A huge increase of amount of hugs in a month." Ezra said.

"Ah, I see." I said.

"What about you?" Ezra asked.

"Nothing, I want to know what a school dance feels like." I said. "Not what I expected but it's still fine."

"What did you expect?." Ezra asked.

"I don't know, maybe slow dancing music, A band (preferably The January Valentines) a chocolate fountain, perhaps a dance with someone?" I said as I looked at the colorful lights on the ceiling.

"That sounds like one of those Cheesy American Teen Rom coms." Ezra said.

"I know... but it's so common that you can't help being stereotypical sometimes." I said.

"I guess your right." Ezra said.

Then we just sat there in silence as music blasted through the speakers.
