Ludvig's eyes blew wide as he saw Gracie's distraught expression. Setting everything he had in his hands down, including Fluff, he rushed over to the corner Gracie was curled up in. Little did he know that he was the last person she wanted to see at that moment.

"Gracie!" Ludvig said in a worried voice as he stooped down to her. "Are you okay? What's wrong?" Gracie just tucked her head back into her arms and cried harder. Clueless about what to do, he did the only thing he could think of.

And the next thing Gracie knew, she was being pulled into a gentle hug. An embrace that made her feel secure, but comfortable at the same time. "I don't know what's wrong, or why you're crying, but just know that it's okay," Ludvig said as Gracie buried her face in his shoulder.

"And you're gonna be okay too because you're safe. You are safe and cared about, and as long as you are, nothing should hurt you. Whether it be words... Or fists." He finished as he began to rub her back gently. In wide motions.

The smell of warm blueberries hit Gracie's nose as she took in the scent of his shirt. Which calmed her down as she also smelled his fading cologne. Blush crept onto her tear-streaked cheeks as she stopped crying.

Gracie hugged Ludvig back, learning that he was exactly the person she needed to see. It didn't matter that he was the reason she was crying. Now she wasn't because he cared enough. And that was everything she needed at that moment.

"I... also brought you... breakfast...?" Ludvig said, wondering if it was the right thing to say. Gracie inched away from his embrace to look him in the eyes. Her deep brown eyes were still glistening due to the tears she had shed. And his gentle blue eyes almost looked into her. Telling her that it was going to be alright.

She slightly smiled at his comment. So she hadn't been imagining the blueberry smell. Ludvig looked at her with an interested expression. "Yeah?" He asked her with a small smile. "Will breakfast make you feel a bit better?" Gracie nodded as she grinned a little bit wider.

Before Ludvig stood up, he took his sleeve and wiped Gracie's cheeks off. Removing her smeared mascara, leaving her natural look to get some glory. He noticed that she didn't look too different without makeup than she did with. Her skin definitely had a better glow to it now that it was clean.

But what he noticed most of all is that she didn't look like the other female wrestlers, whose skin looked fake and plastic. Gracie's skin was natural. Small blemishes here and there, not very noticeable, and an undeniable faint of blush beginning to appear.

Her eyes did look maybe a bit smaller, but that was because they were puffy from how much she'd been crying. "Here, let me help you up?" Ludvig offered, holding his hand out. Gracie slowly took it. Ludvig chuckled as he quickly helped her to her feet. "No need to seem so scared. I don't bite." He said.

But Gracie stood up too quickly. Her sight began to grow dark as she stumbled to gain support.

{Low iron- ME. I swear I'm not okay if this doesn't happen to me at least once a day.}

Thankfully, Ludvig was there and ready to catch her. Gripping onto Gracie's waist as she struggled to find her balance. "Wow da!" Ludvig said surprised.

Gracie leaned on him until her sight cleared. Then she slowly stood up straight again, Ludvig letting go of her waist. "Yeah, you need to eat something," Ludvig said. He was now more concerned about her well-being.

Gracie only nodded. He led her over to her couch. Sitting down, Gracie asked; "So what did you get me for breakfast? I keep smelling blueberries." Ludvig chuckled as he took the food out of the bag. He handed her a box.

She looked at him confused for a moment, before opening it up. "Oh my gosh- MINI blueberry pancakes?! Ludvig, you're the best!!" Gracie exclaimed happily. "It was the least I could do considering you gave me Fluff." He responded. Gracie smiled to herself.

Ludvig went to hand her the coffee he got her but Gracie didn't take it. "Is something wrong?" He asked her. "Oh no no no!" Gracie quickly said. "I appreciate the thought, but... I don't drink coffee. Thanks though..." Ludvig looked at her, dumbfounded.

"You... don't drink coffee...?" He asked. She nodded as she ate a pancake. 💭How do you have so much energy in the mornings then?!💭 He thought. But he decided not to press on. He'd just give it to someone else. Ludvig put the coffee in Gracie's mini-fridge and sat down next to her to eat his breakfast.

Fluff hopped up on the couch to sit with him. There were a few minutes of silence before Ludvig asked: "So... You want to tell me why you were crying when I came in here?" Gracie looked up from her food. "I think I deserve to know considering I had to calm you down." He added.

Gracie nodded slowly. "I was crying because-" The words got stuck in her throat. "I was crying because... because..."
💭 Because Gunther told me something that was true and I didn't want to hear it.💭 "I was crying because the vet told me that Bingo's stomach ulcer got bigger." She finally spit out.

💭NO!!💭 She screamed inwardly. Of course, what she'd said wasn't true. Bingo had been all better for a few days now, but she didn't want him to know the real reason. Maybe she could get away with just a little white lie...?

"Ja wirklich? I'm sorry to hear that!" Ludvig said in return. Gracie nodded sadly as she ate another pancake. "These are really good Ludvig, thank you for getting me breakfast. Vielen Dank!" She said, quickly changing the subject.

"Gerne geschehen." He responded with a small smile. She knew German as well! So she had been understanding what he was saying? "Sprichst du also fließend Deutsch?" He asked once more, letting his accent come through completely. Gracie found it very attractive. "Ja, ich will. Ich spreche seit einiger Zeit Deutsch." She quickly responded.

(You're gonna have to look it up at this point if you don't know. 😭 Some words have multiple meanings, so I couldn't list them at the top. Free German lessons though! 😁 Or I'll translate it at the bottom, we'll see. 🤷🏼‍♀️)

Ludvig smiled again. "Impressive." Gracie's eyes narrowed. "Hey, ich dachte, wir sprechen Deutsch!" She sort of scolded. He jumped in surprise. "Sorry! I thought we were just having a short conversation." Ludvig quickly answered back. Gracie laughed and said; "I'm just messing with you, Marcel!"

He was kind of stunned that she used his real name, but didn't say anything and just laughed in return. The two continued talking until around 10 when Ludvig had to leave to go train. As he was heading out of Gracie's room, she called after him. He turned to look at her. "Don't get hit it the chest again okay? I can't keep talking care of you." Gracie said as she winked.

Ludvig rolled his eyes playfully and walked out of the room. Fluff following behind him.
