[Again, this chapter is going to be emotional. Don't let your fears define you. Only you can tell yourself what defines who you are. 💖]

(Marcel's POV)

"You were a ballerina?" I asked, turning to face Lacy. She got nervous in return. "Well... How else do you think I can do the moves I do...?" Then it made sense. How she jumped out of the powerbomb. The way she landed on the ropes. The way she was always light on her feet. All of that reflected her time as a ballerina. Of course! How could I never have seen it before?

Well, she certainly had the doll-like looks to be an elegant dancer. The soft skin, the big eyes, everything. "So, these are all your trophies?" I wondered, turning back around to face them. "Well, yes. My favorite is the amethyst slipper." She told me.

Of course it was. Purple is her favorite color after all. "That's really cool, baby. I never knew you were a ballerina." I saw her smile proudly, still slightly shy. Taking another glance back at her, I noticed her outfit. If she was trying to look cute for me, she was succeeding.

"Why so casual?" I teased. "O-oh...! D-did you want me to dress up? Cuz I can go change-" I laughed. "I'm joking with you sweetheart. You look beautiful. And just for me too." She let out a breath. I walked over to her and took her hand.

I twirled her around, spinning her right into my arms. "So where to today?" She hummed, resting her head on my chest. "Well, we have about four more hours until we gotta be at work, so... a movie?" I smiled down at her. "Sure, a movie sounds great." There was a glint of extra happiness in her eyes. "Twilight?" I raised an eyebrow. "What's Twilight?" She instantly gasped and pulled away from me, actually offended that I didn't know. "You've been in America for HOW LONG, and you're telling me that you've never heard of Twilight before?!" She asked, raising her voice slightly. I chuckled and shook my head 'no'. "Never," I replied calmly.

Just then, Lacy pretended to faint. I caught her, scooping her up into my arms. She laughed and wrapped her arms around the back of my neck. She placed a sweet kiss on my cheek. "I'll introduce you to it then." She said softly. "We've got enough time to watch the first two movies." I chuckled again, placing a kiss on her forehead in return for her kiss. "You're such a drama queen." She smiled happily.

(Lacy's POV)

We were about halfway through the first movie now, where Bella finds out that Edward is a vampire. "So she's just completely okay with knowing that he's following her into the woods... Alone?" Marc asked me. I nodded, amused. "Yet she knows he's a vampire-?" "Yerp," "And she knows he could easily kill her?" "Yes, sirrrr." "This movie makes no sense." "I know." "Yet you still like it?" "Yeah," "Why??" I was silent for a moment before shrugging. "I dunno, to be honest with ya."

"You confuse me, Lace." I giggled. "I know!" "That's not a good thing sweetheart." My expression dropped. "Oh..." He quickly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his lap so he could hug me. "But it's one of the reasons I love you so much." I smiled again, snuggling up to him. "Oh, good... I thought I did something wrong for a sec." "Heh... Nah..."

Mochi barked at me. "No barking inside Mochi..." I muttered, not pulling away from my boyfriend. A few seconds later, Mochi barked again. I sat up to look at him, now straddling my boyfriend. "Mochi! No b-" I stopped when I saw him nudging Bingo's dog bed. He whimpered as he got into it and laid down. My heart clenched. Mochi and Bingo were best friends. They hadn't been apart a day of their lives since they met. Very similar to me and Bingo.

"Mochi..." I whispered, half-heartedly. "Bingo's not gonna be home for a little bit." Mochi yelped, slightly more upset as if he understood me. I teared up. Now Bingo not being around was also affecting my other emotional support dog. Marc wrapped his arms around my waist. "Hey, shh..." He cooed. "You're okay." A tear escaped my eye and rolled down my cheek. No... Now was not the time to have an emotional breakdown.
