Chapter Ten

Those three days went by quickly. During that time you added both Heizou and Kazuha to the groupchat, and discussed the details with everyone. Your friend was gladly welcomed back to the group and they showered the detective with questions. Of course, to your relief, they got along with him pretty well.

It was now 4:47 in the morning, and you were putting all of your neccesarry things together in a suitcase. Now it contained clothes, hygiene products, your laptop and a towel if there weren't any. It was such a luxurious place, so you guessed there would be, but just in case it was better to bring one than not having one if it turns out like that.

You even saw pictures of the mansion. From what you could tell it was fairly close to a beach and it had a big garden too. Even to this day, you actuallly couldn't process how Heizou managed to get such a good offer. It was a miracle, honestly.

You had to rush, because time quickly flew by while you were organizing everything. Luckily it didn't take long to get to the airport, so nothing went wrong. As soon as you arrived, you went past security and started searching for your friends. It really didn't take long to notice them, because you could hear Itto's voice.

"Shhh, keep it down! We are in public!" Keqing tried to shush him. "It's like... half past five in the morning, how are you so... energetic?" Mona asked him, while letting out a big yawn. "It's in my blood. In my veins y'know." he just responded proudly.

"Oh, hey y/n!" Yoimiya greeted you as soon as she saw you. "Good morning. I heard Itto's voice so I figured you'd be here." you let out a chuckle. "Well it's only natural you heard him, because he just cannot shut up." the astrologist rolled her eyes. "Hey, you're saying that, but you talk just as much as I do! All you can talk about is constellations and stars all the time. Just not that loudy..." the taller one fought back.

"Um, okay so putting that aside, there's still a lot of us missing." you pointed out. "Kaeya and Childe are also here, but they went to buy snacks. I don't understand why they didn't do it beforehand at a normal store, everything is more expensive here." Keqing informed you. "Childe is rich, don't forget that." Shinobu joined in. "Also, I can see Venti walking here with... Kazuha?"

Indeed you saw the two walking together towards your group calmly talking to each other. You haven't seen Venti this calm and how to put it... well mannered in a while. Kazuha is definitely a good influence.

"Heyo, we're here!" the boy with darker hair happily announced. "I see you two get along together quite well." you said to them. "We saw each other outside and decided to talk a bit while trying to find everyone. Turns out, we share a lot of interests." the other one stated. "I hope drinking isn't one of them..." Mona shook her head.

Soon enough Kaeya and Childe came back with snacks, and also with Heizou alongside them. You could also see the two taller ones laugh at something really hard, while the shorter one just walked with a smile on his face.

"What's so funny, I wanna laugh too!" Venti immediately asked them when they were closer. "Nev-.. nevermin-..." the ginger wanted to answer him, but couldn't because he was still laughing.

"Hi!" you greeted the three of them. "Hello." the detective responded to you looking in your eyes. You didn't know why, but you quickly looked away after that, not being able to hold eye contact. "I'm glad that you're in such a good mood, but we should get to our plane soon. Let me see if everyone is here." Keqing spoke up.

"Alright. Me, y/n, Yoimiya, Mona, Shinobu, Itto, Kazuha, Venti, Kaeya, Childe and Heizou. Yep, all eleven of us. Let's go then."

"Ah, that was such a good flight!" Itto exclaimed, while streching a little bit. "How would you know? You literally slept through it. And you were also snoring." Shinobu looked at him, giving him a confused look.

"I had a lot of fun! Me and Kazuha were just talking about music the entire time, he's so cultured!" Venti praised his friend. "Me too, I had a lot of fun as well! I was sitting next to this kid and her mom and it was so fun talking to them! They were really kind people." Yoimiya chimed in.

"Well, the two pretty best friends were just reading their books together, that's quite boring." Kaeya shrugged, while looking at the two pigtailed girls. "And you guys were laughing the entire time, still! Seriously, what was so funny?" Mona asked suspiciously. "It's better if you don't know." Childe let out a chuckle.

And that left you and Heizou sit together on the plane. During the first half of the flight, he explained everything about this case to you and during the second half, you were just getting to know each other more. It was great spending time with him, it's almost like you wished it could've lasted longer. You also noticed Kazuha peeking over at the two of you sometimes, but glanced away and never said anything.

"I called an uber for everyone. I think they should be here soon, so let's go outside." you suggested, snapping out of your thoughts. Everyone agreed and you all headed out of the airport.

"My gosh, this is incredibly beautiful!" Mona spoke up, shocked by the sight. It wasn't only the mansion that was pretty, no, even the place where it was built was extremely convenient. From the balconies you could see the beach as it was on top of a smaller hill. The garden seemed to have a pond and flowers, trees and bushes planted everywhere.

"Heizou, my dude, how did you find someone like this? Y'know someone who would give us this entire place for the time being?" Itto looked at him with his mind totally blown away. "My secret!" he winked at him as a response. "It's everyone's lucky day-... no... lucky week, so enjoy yourselves to the fullest!" he happily exclaimed as he slowly went over to open the gates.
