If Only I Wasn't So Shy ~ Matt

I was outside McDonald's waiting for my brothers Chris and matt when I saw her.

she walked past me clearly in a rush. I smelled her flowery parfume and fell for her even more than I already had. This is gonna sound so stupid but it truly was love at first sight.

I wanted to yell for her to come back and give me her number, if only I wasn't so shy.

I'm get very nervous around girls, or people in general. I let the woman of my dreams walk past me without her even noticing me standing there.

"what are you thinkin' about Matty boy?" asks Chris waving his hand in front of my face. "a wonder woman walked by" I said still mad at myself. "did you get her number?" asks Nick sippin' his drink. "nah her beauty frightened me"

"wich direction did she walk off to?" nick is looking around the parking lot. "that way I believe" I say pointing to the little Cafe 'round the corner. "let's go!" I try to protest against us going but if Nick gets an idea in his head, he won't let it go.

"what does she look like?" asks Chris eating his burger. "she has h/c hair and e/c eyes" Chris grabs my arm and drags me to the man behind the counter. "hey! I was wondering if a woman just entered this Cafe, like five minutes ago?" my heart almost jumps out of my body after the man nodded his head. "y/n!? These boys asked about you!" the man yells stepping in what seems to be the kitchen. "heve you guys found her?" nick asks looking around the Cafe.

"you asked for me?" says the woman from before. "my brother is in love with you" says chris without thinking twice. "oh I'm flattered, do I know you guys?" we all shake our head at the same time.

This makes her laugh and tilt her head back. Her laugh.. "can I maybe get your number?" she nods her head blushing a little. She writes her number on a napkin and hands it to me. "thank you" I say smiling at her.

+ a week later +

I'm too scared. What if I say something stupid? What if she's mad I haven't called her since? What if she doesn't want to go on a da-

"call her already!" yells nick frustrated. Thanks for the emotional support bro. "alright, alright!" I say grabbing my phone and dialing her number into the call thingy. I hear nothing but my own breathing, she picks up after the second ring. "who is this?" I explain the situation to her and she seems to be laughing her ass off on the other side of the line.

"I would love to go on a date with you!" we text for a couple hours till it's time I finally get some sleep. I can't believe she wants to go on a date with me, I thought she'd be mad at me for not calling her.

I was too nervous to call her, it took me a week and some convincing. I didn't wanna screw up. But now I'm going out on a date with her! It feels so surreal.
