EXCUSE THE MISTAKES

Jaz repeatedly dialed her cousin's number when she and Luna reached the club. She scanned the parking lot and when she didn't see Shayla's car, her heart dropped. It's been years since they had a big disagreement and it hurt Jaz that she disappointed her in that way.

She can't be this mad over no ecstasy pill Jaz said to herself as she scrolled through her contacts. She stopped on CJ's name and clicked the facetime icon.

"Sup, Lynnie?" he said, facing the camera. "You good?"

"Have you seen Shay? She won't answer my calls," Jaz asked in a panic. "I can't believe she's that pissed off at me," Jaz said as she and Luna walked up to the doors to Play.

"Chill out ma. You know how she can get sometimes," CJ replied.

"Okay yeah, but this time it seemed more serious. She almost got into a fight with Luna and she stormed out of the condo. I don't see her car here at Play," Jaz whined. "She was supposed to be my partner tonight." The ecstasy was starting to peak and Jaz felt her emotions heighten. "I love her so much. I hate when she's mad at me and this time I think I really fucked up," she sniffled.

"I'll be inside," Luna said and walked into the building.

"What if she never talks to me again?" The tears streamed down her face. When she looked up she noticed that Luna had already entered the club, leaving her alone in front of the club. "This bitch," Jaz scoffed and shook her head. She wiped her eyes and continued with the call.

"Can you please call her for me and tell her I'm sorry," Jaz requested.

"I got you. Be safe out there and stop with all them damn tears you too pretty for that," Cj said, causing Jaz to smile. "That's what I like to see. Them pearly whites and them cute ass dimples,"

Jaz blushed as she looked down at her friend on the phone screen. "I'll talk to you later. Don't forget to call her for me," she said before she tapped the end button.

Cj knew what to say when she was feeling down. It was like he was always around when she needed him. With that in mind, she thought of Kylo, and how distant he'd been lately. It made it worse that he wouldn't be back in town until next week.

Fighting the urge to call him as she walked up to the doors to Play, Jaz tried hard to keep her emotions in check. To be honest she didn't have the desire to shake her ass for random dudes tonight especially since her cousin wouldn't be by her side. Before Jaz reached the stairs she decided to send one final text to her cousin, in hopes that she would finally respond.

To: Shay

I'm so sorry about earlier. Please just call me so I can explain everything. I love you cousin.

Jaz read the message once more before pressing send. Her heart almost shattered when she noticed "not delivered" pop up seconds after sending the message. Wow, she really blocked me. Jaz thought to herself as she walked through the doors of the strip club. She wanted to get back in her car and go home but instead, she made her way to the bar. The last thing Jaz needed was a drink. The ecstasy was doing its job but the overwhelming feeling of sadness crippled her.

"Hey Mina, Can I get a double shot of Patron," Jaz asked as she plopped down on the bar stool. With her gym bag right next to her she made herself comfortable. "Mina I can't believe Shay blocked me and Kylo is out of town. I'm basically all alone here," she whined and held the shot glass up to her lips.

"Just give her some time. You two are inseparable. She's just hurt at the moment," Mina said.

Twenty minutes and 4 shots later, Jaz whined about all she could. There was nothing else for her to say. Plus she was starting to feel the Patron a little too much.
