Your fingers trace along the fabric of a shirt as you debate whether or not you should buy it.

You definitely needed a few new outfits, but when it comes to spending money, you're always on the fence.

"See something you want to get?" (I/c) asks when they walk up to your side. Clothes they had picked out for themself was draped across their forearm.

"I was thinking about getting this and some bottoms, but I'm not sure if I really need it after looking at the price tag," you say with a soft chuckle. "Do you think it's worth it?"

The shirt was thirty dollars and the bottoms you were looking at were twenty dollars. Fifty dollars for one outfit is a bit much. Sure, I have more than enough, but damn.

"We could split it?" (I/c) suggests when they notice your tilted head and pursed lips.

You widen your eyes before shaking your head. "Absolutely not," you say sternly. They always spend money on you. Whether they pay in full or it's split between you both. Maybe your fear of spending money could use this push.

"Hand me those," you say pointing at their preferred fabric pieces, "let me buy you these and some drinks later tonight."
