Luckiest
Lucky, i think this is the word that will describe my situation right now.
After graduation, agad-agad akong natanggap sa dream company ko. They said that I have this attitude na kailangan nila sa isang employee and they said that they discovered it when I was having my OJT here at the hotel. I can't believe it at first dahil sino ba naman ako para kuhanin nila, I have no connection and such, all I have is my hard-working and passionate character pero alam kong hindi sapat iyon para makapasok ng agad-agaran dito sa Krevan.
I am under the supervision of Ms. Ara, here at the Krevan Hotel & Company, assigned at the front office department and I've been here for a month now. All I can say is I'm lucky, I have this plan that I will apply to their airlines, which is the PhilAirs International, their own airlines but I know that I am still far from that maybe I still need a year or two to prepare myself. Hindi naman tatakbo 'yung airlines eh and I'm still young so I have enough time to reach it.
Napangiti nalang ako nang may biglang umupo sa harapan ko habang kumakain sa cafeteria ng hotel.
"I told you to wait for me." Nakabusangot niyang sabi sa akin at nilapag ang dala niyang tray na may iba't ibang pagkain din.
"Kian, I'm super hungry for the pete's sake. My stomach cannot wait for you anymore." Irap kong saad sa kanya. He's still working here, as an assistant. Kaya naman hindi nakakapagtaka kung makita ko yung mukha niya araw-araw.
"You did not have your breakfast?" kunot-noong tanong niya.
"I was busy earlier tsaka maaga akong umalis ng bahay kanina dahil baka matraffic." Sabi ko sabay subo ulit ng pagkain.
"I told that I will pick you up for you to eat properly and comfortably on my car but you won't listen." He was sulking kaya naman ay napairap ulilt ako.
"For your information Mr. Suitor, puyat ka kagabi dahil sabi mo ay nagkaproblema sa mga files na ginagawa mo. Ayoko naman maging panggulo at maging abala para lang masundo at mahatid mo 'no." nagpatuloy ako sa pagkain ng sabihin ko iyon sa kanya. He's been courting me for four months now, masyado akong masunurin sa three-month rule at may pa sobra pa. I admit I like him, pero I still need a little time to master up my courage to say yes to him.
"For your information din Miss Ma'am, you will never be a burden to me, got it?" ngiti niyang sabi at nagpatuloy rin sa pagkain.
Hindi na ako sumagot, we continue to eat until our time is up.
"I'll pick you up later, then let's talk about your plans for tomorrow." Tumango ako at nagpaalam na, hinatid niya ako sa front desk at binati pa si Ms. Ara bago umalis at dumiretso sa elevator.
"Nako, iyan ang sana all. Kaya hindi ka napapagod sa trabaho dahil may nagpapasaya eh." Pang-aasar ni Ms. Ara sa akin.
"Ms. Ara naman..." ngiti akong yumuko at inayos ang gamit sa lamesa.
"But you still don't know, Mr. Moralle haven't told you yet?" curious na tanong niya.
Ano naman ang hindi pa sinasabi ni Mr. Moralle sa akin? Did I do something wrong at the company?
Kunot-noo akong tumingin kay Ms. Ara at siya naman ay nakatingin lang din sa akin.
