-MIRA’S POV-

“Marco, where are you taking me? And why did you blindfold me?” I said with annoyance. I could not see what was ahead of me but he was guiding me.

“I already told you, it’s a secret. Don’t be so impatient, queen.” He replied while laughing.

“Tsk, fine.” After saying this, I became silent.

A minute later, he stopped in his tracks, causing me to do the same.

Slowly, he took off my blindfold.

I looked straight ahead but my vision was blurry. “Tsk. Shit, my eyes hurt.” I said before I smacked him while rubbing my eyes.

Spell WOW.

It’s so beautiful!

I had never been here before. I did not know that there was a terrace connected to Marco’s room. There were many rose petals scattered all over the ground. And he was holding a bouquet of red roses.

I started punching him in the chest while crying. Tears of joy. “Damn it, I was worried for a while.” He caught my hand to stop me from hitting him and held it. I gave him a hug.

“I love you, Mira, and I will always love you,” he whispered to me.

I looked up to see his face. He was smiling.

“I love you, too, Marco.” I smiled sweetly. I couldn’t conceal my giddiness because of his gesture.

He slowly brought his face close to mine.

Until…

My body felt cold.

“Fuck, get up, bitch. You’re not here to sleep soundly. From now on, you will work in the house every day.” He said and threw the sheet of paper he was holding in my face.

I jumped up when I heard Marco’s baritone voice. He was standing in front of me while holding a pitcher.

“Do everything that is written on that list. Otherwise, you’re dead.” He added before he left.

I smiled when I remembered what happened earlier.

It was just a dream. A dream that I wasn’t sure would ever come true.

I looked at the sheet of paper that he threw in my face.

Clean the kitchen
Clean the pool
Clean the library (I don’t wanna see even a single speck of dust, if I do you know what will happen)
Mop the entire house.

I heaved a sigh upon reading what was written. I needed to hurry up and get the work done. I went to the kitchen to eat. By the time I was there, Marco was already gone. I ate some left-overs from last night. I had no more time to cook.

I started with the kitchen first. Afterwards, I worked on the pool. I was drenched by the time I finished cleaning the pool because I fell several times. It was a good thing that I only fell in a shallow part of the pool. I would surely be dead if I fell in the deep area, because I didn’t know how to swim.

After I cleaned the library, I made sure that there was no speck of dust to be found. That was Marco’s command.

I passed by the living room. The picture being displayed here caught my attention. It was our wedding picture. Even though Marco was frowning, it did not diminish his good looks. His brown eyes and rosy lips gave him a seductive aura. He also had six pack abs. He had a strong sex appeal in spite of the clothes he was wearing.

He was every girl’s dream.

Even though I did not have his heart, I was content with being Mrs. Cruz.

I would only ask for one more thing if the Lord granted it…

which was…

his heart.
