(Mr. Grits' POV )
A beige map of outer space was laid on the meeting table. "Okay, so where did you say the ship was, Mr. Grits?" Jeff asked me. "A-about 200 feet northeast of here." I answered, still a little shaken from my nightmare. Mrs. Darth Tater marked a small dart near the model of the Airship. "I have an idea!" Banana shouted. "Again?" Chester asked. "Last time you had an idea, you wanted to try eating soil that had actual earthworms in it. Turns out that wasn't a very good idea." "Aww..." Banana whined.
Jeff cleared his throat. "Anyway, I decided that we should split up in three's to break in." He pointed at Darth, Snowball, and Chloe. "You three can rig the wires to the doors and, just in case, maybe something like lasers. You know, technology stuff." All three of them nodded. "I haven't figured out what the rest of the plan is yet but all I know is that you guys can somehow sneak in the ship and rescue our friends. I'll be controlling our ship." Wow. I thought sarcastically. What a total genius. The rest of us nodded in agreement.
"Alright. Let's call this operation... Operation Emancipation." "Operation what now?" Iva asked. "Operation Emancipation." Jeff repeated. "Emancipation is a synonym for rescue or freeing." "Ohhhh..." everyone said understandably. "So, let's sleep the rest of the night and we'll do it tomorrow." Jeff ordered. Sleep? I thought. I can definitely not sleep in a time like this.
Besides, I also had a nightmare. I wasn't a little kid, but I was still terrified out of my mind. And it looked like that Your Mom could sense that because she patted my back and led me back to bed. But I couldn't sleep at all. I had a tense feeling that my friends were in trouble, especially, because I knew how he was, Mr. Pepperoni Man. I just really hoped that they were okay. But then I realized something. If we just keep waiting and hoping, then nothing would really happen. Or it will just get worse. I had to save my friends, even if it meant abandoning the rest of my crew, including my girlfriend. I thought about taking her with me but this mission might be too dangerous for her. I mean, if anything bad happened to her, then I would never forgive myself. But then I had to do what's right. I have to save my friends that were in need.
So, I decided to leave everyone sleeping in their beds, packed up stuff that I possibly would need, and began to find a way to get to the spaceship. Without anybody else to help me.
Later, I figured out that this wasn't going to solve anything.
