"lily-rose," i whine as i drop my head into my hands. "come on, he's amazing. he sweet and gentle and chivalrous. you'll love him, i promise."

she comes and sits next to me on the couch "you don't think it'll be awkward?"

i lift my head up to look at her and shake it, "no. nope. not at all. it'll be fun, we'll have an amazing time," i take her hand and give her a reassuring smile "i'm sure he's nervous too. but promise, he's a nice and genuine guy."

she nods, finally agreeing to go get breakfast with austin and i. "okay, i'll go."

"hey austin!" i grin as i engulf him in a tight hug.

"hey, it's been a few days," he smiles back, retuning the hug.

as we pull away, we both face lily-rose, "this is one of my best friends, lily-rose. lily, as you know this is austin."

austin offers his hand to her, "hey, lillian's told me about you and i've see you on social media. it's nice to finally meet you."

lily-rose shakes his hand and nods, "yeah i've  seen you on instagram and lillian talks about you. so it's nice to meet you too, austin."

i smile at the both of them, "how about we head inside?"

"sure," lily-rose agrees and walks ahead of us, into the restaurant.

austin and i walk side by side, behind her "was what that about cherries you mentioned earlier?" he whispers to me in a deep, low voice.

i furrow my eyebrows at him, pretending be to clueless "oh, i just thought you'd enjoy them on your pancakes. they're delicious."

he slowly nods, slightly narrowing his eyes at me, "right. right."
