Chapter 39: I Now Pronounce you...

Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep

Y/N slowly opens her eyes and looks down to see herself in the hospital gown and bed. She looks into her arms and sees the IV in her veins

"Y/N?" Hawks says as he runs his hands through her hair, "How do you feel? Do you know who I am?" Hawks asks

"What's with the 21 questions?" Y/N says as she tries to sit up

"Sorry, Baby Bird. Just making sure you didn't lose your memory again." Hawks says

"What happened to me? I remember being by Kaina's side." Y/N says rubbing her head

"Recovery girl was able to heal your stomach." Hawks says, "She used a lot of your stamina so you have been here for a couple of days."

"Heal my stomach?" Y/N lifts up her hospital gown and sees a scar on the side of her stomach

"The explosion cut a huge gash in your stomach." Hawks says

"Great. Another scar." Y/N says as she rolls her eyes

"You had me worried. I thought I lost you." Hawks whispers

"Keigo. My ring?" Y/N asks as she touches her neck

"I got it right here, baby bird." Hawks says as he reaches in his pocket to pull it out. Hawks puts the necklace around her neck and gives Y/N a kiss on the lips.

"Kaina? How is she?" Y/N asks

"She's fine. She is at another hospital, she is still unconscious and won't be out for a while." Hawks says

"I'm ready to go home." Y/N says as she smiles at Hawks.

"I'm ready for you to come home." Hawks says as he leans his head forward to touch hers

"Y/N. Hawks. How is everything?" The doctor says interrupting their moment together

"Great. When can I get outta here?" Y/N asks eagerly

"We are going to run some tests and see if we can get you outta here by this afternoon." The doctor says

"Thanks."

The hospital ran some tests and everything came back clear. Y/N and Hawks head home after being discharged.

"Home sweet Home" Y/N says as she lays on the couch on top of Keigo. Her head on his chest

"Are you feeling okay?" Keigo says as he puts his arms around her

"Yeah, Just a little sore." Y/n says, "I'm glad my feathers grew back."

Keigo brushes her feathers with hands making her wings twitch

"Sorry, baby bird." Keigo whispers, "You ready to leave for America here soon?"

"Oh right, America. Do we have to?" Y/N groans

"Sorry but you know we have to talk to Cathleen about important matters." Keigo says

"I'm excited for you to meet her." Y/N says, "You are going to love her."

"Are you sure you want to fly with me on the plane?" Hawks asks

"Yeah! I never rode in a plane before and it sounds fun!" Y/n says as she packs the last of her clothes into the suitcase.

"Alright, I'm ready!" Y/N says

Hawks and Y/N head out the door and go towards the Airport. The flight was 16 hours long and the most uncomfortable ride that Y/N has ever been on.

"Finally! We are here. I need to stretch my wings." Y/N says as she extends her wings out, "Holy crap that feels way better!"
