CHAPTER 9 (We meet again)

Haliath?"

"Anthony?" Haliath said to herself, she released her hand, her eyes became teary, Mylia was confused

"You know my mum?" Anthony looked from Mylia to Haliath

"No" Anthony was to say something but Haliath helped him

"Haliath" his eyes were teary too

"Mylia let's go somewhere else"

"Mum I just introduced you to the leader of YAS and you say we should leave?"

"Mylia....." Haliath couldn't say anything, tears had already started pouring down her eyes, Anthony held her free hand

"Haliath I...."his tears didn't let him say past that, she held Mylias' hand and ran away with her, she entered a car and drove off, Anthony was transfixed, he just stares at her as she drove away "Haliath is....."

"Anthony?...." Yann ran to him, he too was on cap and facemask "you shouldn't be here.. we have a conc....." Yann saw Anthony wasn't even listening, he looked at the direction Anthony was looking at and saw a car driving off, he looked back at Anthony "Anthony is there something wrong?"

"Haliath...." Anthony whispered and almost fell to the ground, he looked at the car as it faded away, he bent his head and let his tears flow

"Anthony you need to calm down"

"Haliath" Anthony held his chest and beat it softly

"Haliath is the one who drove that car?" Anthony nodded and cried even more "come with me.....you need rest before the concert" Yann helped Anthony back to meet the others backstage.

"Mum what's going on? How did you know the leader of YAS group?" Haliath drive without saying anything or looking at Mylia, she drew her nose and packed the car, then she wiped her tears and faced Mylia at her side

"How did you know the leader of YAS group?" Mylia frowned "I'll answer you after you answer me" Mylia cleared her throat

"Well......" Haliath hesitated for awhile then closed her eyes tight and said "I joined their kids-got-,talent" Haliath eyes widened, Mylia opened her eyes and looked at her "I tried telling you but you're always busy.....and my music tutor urged me to go for it.....she teaches me so well and when we heard of the competition she placed her confidence in me on winning....."

"I don't want you to sing with Anthony....I've heard of the competition...." Haliath paused "I don't want you popular, at least for now"

"I'm just gonna sing with them on stage once....that's if I even win.....nd I got golden burser, so it's once more I'll have to sing.....pls mum, we need the money" Haliath stared at her daughter, they indeed needed the money

"I won't be able to come"

"Your acceptance is enough" Haliath smiled

"Fine" Mylias' eyes widened she smiled and released her eyes "but you have to win this thing"

"I've got your voice so I'm good to go" they both laughed, Haliath kissed Mylia on the cheek

"You know I love you right?" Mylia smiled and nodded

"Nd I love my mum too" they smiled at eachother, Haliath then faced the road and started driving

"So.....where else should we go"

"Shopping" Mylia said in excitement and Haliath laughed.

"You messed up big time Anthony.....if not for anything....we could have been shamed..... on stage" Swiss said angrily at Anthony and drank from her water, Yann just sat quietly and stared at Anthony who seemed too deep in thoughts than listening to Swiss, he was also angry but he knew the impact of Haliath's absence since they separated, he had not told Swiss about Haliath, nor Anthony who refused to talk to Swiss or himself (Yann)he walked beside Anthony and sat, he held Anthony's hand and helped him up, they walked to Anthony room leaving Swiss who just angrily stared at Anthony, Yann put Anthony to sit on the bed then squatted face him

"I know you wanted to....she won't hear you, it's sound-proof... So do it....let yourself out, you need it" Anthony stared at her for awhile, his eyes became teary, Yann held his hand "don't hold back" Anthony burst out crying aloud, Yann just held his hand tight, he rolled to the floor and cried harder while yann let him cry.

Anthony got up from bed, he checked but didn't see Yann in the room, he took his shower and walked down stairs to the kitchen then he saw Yann preparing food, he walked and hugged Yann from behind, Yann smiled

"Finally woke up?" Anthony nodded "how are you feeling?" Yann asked and turned to Anthony who walked and took a glass of milk from the fridge and sat in the kitchen chair

"Good.....thanks to you" Yann chuckled and started cutting some tomatoes

"You needed to....you've been holding it for twelve years and you're broken, trying to be strong for us....." Yann nodded in the negative "I can't let that" Anthony smiled then they both started laughing for no reason, they stopped laughing and calmed down "I told Swiss about Haliath, she felt so sorry that she started crying.....I had to take her to bed to calm" Anthony chuckled

"Seems you're our dad for now" Anthony said smiling

"We all help eachother..... There was a time Swiss played mum for us both" Anthony nodded and sipped from his milk.

"The winner of this show is....." Mylia closed her eyes and fist tight as the host said, the other two contestant were good, she prayed, she really need the money and fame partially, she sighed "Mylia" Mylia opened her eyes slowly, there were hails and applauds, Mylia aunt and Joan ran to meet Mylia and hugged her, Mylia asked the host if it was really her, this made everyone laugh and hail, Mylia hugged the rest contestant smiling, swiss hugged her tight, Yann did the same, Anthony was hesitant but also didn't want to look suspicious, she was going to sing with them after all, he forced a smile and walked to hug her, she smiled seeing him, he squatted and hugged her then released her

"You deserve it" he said calmly

"Thank you, thank you so much, thank you"
