CHAPTER 17 (Will you marry me?)

"Dad?" Mylia's eyes widened, Anthony chuckled and bent his head then started crying, Mylia was shocked "you knew" he whispered to himself and pulled the phone away from his face and cried harder

"Dad?dad?.... Dad are you there?" he wiped his eyes and brought the phone to his face, Mylia then calmed down
"You knew I was your dad?" Anthony sobbed, Mylia nodded looking sober "how?"

"I overheard mum telling you in your room" Anthony let the tears flow

"I'm sorry my love.....I'm so so so so sorry....I left you and Haliath but trust me I was ready to be with you both if only I hadn't misunderstood......"

"It's okey dad...." they both were crying now "I know, mum told me about it all"

"Really?"

"Ya......she tried her best to say nice things that'll make me not hate you" Anthony wiped his tears "I love you dad......" Anthony stared at her "for twelve years of my life I've been called a bastard, nd if not for my beauty and boldness, I would definitely have been bullied......"

"No way.....they won't dare" Anthony said calmly

"That's why I need you.....good thing you're popular" they both laughed, Mylia heard Haliath coming, she looked from the door to Anthony

"What's wrong?" Mylia wiped her face thoroughly

"Mum's coming.......bye" she cut it even before Anthony could say bye

"Bye" he whispered and dropped the phone, then he walked downstairs, he saw Yann and Swiss watching a movie so he ignored them and walked to take water, Yann and Swiss stared at him now, he was to walk back up to his room when he saw them looking at him "what's wrong?why the stare?" He said walking away "hope I didn't disturb you guys?.... my water dispenser is dry so....." Yann got up and walked to meet him

"Are you still mad at me for what I said?"

"No"

"Then why're you acting this way!"

"Well I don't wanna disturb you guys" Anthony said smiling

"You've been in your room since morning"

"I had some things to attend to, then I talked with Mylia.....nd.... if you care, she knows I'm her father"

"We do care" Anthony stared at Yann for awhile before walking back to his room without saying anymore word, hands in pocket
"I think I'm going crazy" Yann said squatting, Swiss walked to him and helped him to sit then started petting him.

Haliath just stared at Anthony, he was smiling really handsomely, his dress was his normal signature dressing, red shirt, red geans trousers and red shoes, with blue big jacket, he let his hair loose this time and it was so long he had to shrink it, and even at that, Haliath thought it was still long

"I bought you milk candy your favorite....and lots of dresses"

"You didn't have to" Haliath said, still eyes wide open in surprise, he made a grin "how did you know my place?"

"Can I come in?" Mylia realized she had been blocking the door so he won't pass

"Oh sorry, please come in" Anthony chuckled and walked to the parlour, Haliath closed the door and ran to meet him "Mylia's not around"

"I know....it's Tuesday, besides.....I didn't come to see Mylia" Haliath stared at him as he noticed the house, then he turned to her, she looked away almost immediately but he caught her and smiled "I like your house" she turned to him

"Sorry?.....ah...yes....." she looked obviously nervous, why was he here? how did he know her place? it had to be Mylia, if not her who would? Haliath thought "thanks, thanks" she said smiling

"I'll have water"

"Sorry what?...oh....ya....sorry my manners ......water, I'll get water" Haliath quickly ran to the kitchen panting and breathing heavily, she held her chest so her heart won't burst out, she sighed then carried the glass of water to him, he could see her hand shake as she handed the glass to him, he purposely held her hand softly along with the glass which made her widen her eyes, he finally took the glass of water and drank from it, he could see through the glass cup as he drank, how tensed and nervous Haliath was, she walked as far as she could from him, he dropped the cup and looked at her

"why are you nervous?"

"Me?" Haliath asked, why would he ask such question? it's obvious it's because he was there, she thought but gave a smile "I'm fine"

"Happy birthday in advance, day after tomorrow right?"

"Ya" Haliath said laughing "thanks"

"My dad said he wants to see you"

"What?" Haliath almost screamed

"But don't worry, I told him we aren't together anymore" Anthony saw Haliath calm down "he wasn't happy though" she looked away hurt, then she looked back at him with a smile

"Are those my gifts" she said now looking at the things he brought, he smiled

"Yes.....I hope you like them.....I'm having a concert on your birthday, I'll also be practicing the whole day for the night"

"Thanks" Anthony stared at her and observed her, she had her hair packed and was waring a before the kneel gown, it looked loose but pretty on her, her flower slippers matched with her gown, she was as beautiful as always Anthony thought, he smiled and got up then walked up to her and just stared at her smiling, she moved back a bit but he walked closer to her, then she had to stop, the TV was at her back, she searched everywhere with her eyes trying not to look at him, her heartbeat rose now that he was so close to her, she finally stared at the ground, Anthony became serious

"You know In still deeply in love with you......" he held her face to face him then released his hand to his pocket "and I want to spend the rest of my life with you and Mylia" Haliath knew she would soon tear up but tried holding it in "but I don't want to put you under pressure so I'll give you time to think.....I'm not good at proposing, and I'm not sur you'll say yes so.....that's why I'm saying all this when no one is here" Haliath exhaled "Haliath I want you to quit your job" Haliath looked away, Anthony just continued "I hate it....nd I want you to burn all your trousers.....I bought quite some pretty skirts for you....... you left your necklace with me" Haliath wiped her tears off without looking at him all this while "wear one of the cloths I bought for you and come take the necklace from me on your birthday if you love me and accept my proposal" Haliath looked at him with teary eyes and saw he too was crying "but if not.....you can continue your job and keep waring trousers.....don't come to me or to take the necklace" he said and walked out of the house, entered inside his car and zoomed off, Haliath walked and sat on a couch staring at the bags of cloths he bought for her.

Anthony walked in and sat on the nearest couch in the shadow room, Yann and Swiss walked to him in concern

"What did she say? did you ask her?" Swiss asked, Anthony just bent his head and hugged Yann who pat his back
