Chapter 17: Endgame

Jaden was walking through a forest while looking at the display on his wrist, on the way to last base. His facial expressions showed that this time he won't fight as a hero. He will fight like man who will do what needs to be done. Although his brother hadn't been the kindest one to him, in his perspective, he still wanted to save him. But not only that. He was more focused on Fawaz, Rodrigues and Abu Jalal. They all played a part in the death of his parents. And all the criminals who were with them right now, needed to be taken out too. But as it was mentioned earlier. He no longer was a hero.

Suddenly as he was walking, he felt something.

< What is this? A tingle? >

He started to look around himself, while he was about to grab his weapons. His eyes where sharp.

< Ztz. It is probably nothing. >

He relaxed and started to walk further.

"Hey, kid."

At once did Jaden turn around with a blade in his hand, ready to attack.

As he saw the face of the man behind him, he was quite astonished.

"You?", said he as he never expected that person.

"What are you doing out here?", asked 005. While he said that did Steve appear behind him.

"First tell me how the hell did you two find me? And why is Stacy's father here?", asked Jaden in an angry tone.

"Steve is an detective and works for us, and he knew that something was off about Varun's death so he came to me. And I was right on my way to you, so he wanted to go along."

"MY deepest condolence. I know the pain of losing close ones.", said Steve in a sad way.

"And now to your first question. Well, your father once put a tracker in your suit, and made two devices to observe the signal. The first one he held for himself, and he gave me the second one. To keep an eye on you. So, what are you doing out here?"

"Ztz sounds exactly like dad.", said Jaden and further on explained everything to 005.

Together they arrived at a glade. And at the centre of it was a trestle made out of wood on which Vijah was sitting while he was chained up.

Jaden, 005 and Steve hide together behind some trees.

"I can't understand why you two want to fight dead people so badly?"

005 and Steve started to look at each other. They got a flashback of the fight many years ago where they could prevent their best friend from dying.

"You weren't there kid.", said Steve while loading his gun.

"Yeah. We have something to settle with Rodrigues and Abu Jalal. Because they got away last time. Especially Rodrigues.", added 005 angrily while he loaded his gun too. "This is our chance to kick his ass."

"Immortal ass, if I can add.", said Jaden and looked over to the place. "It is heavily guarded. Not all men are armed but some. I guess they are about fifty people.", analysed he.

"Oh man. This is going to be a funny."

"What's the plan?", asked Steve.

"Plan? It is three vs an army. There is no plan. Just not die. That's it.", said Jaden hastily and went forward to the glade.

"Let's do this.", said 005 with full confidence.

The three started running forward and 005 and Steve started to shoot.
