chapter 8: perfidy

8:00am

I get up, the weather looks terrible. As if it'll be a storm soon.

We have 3 days until the next ritual. I lay in my bed dreading getting up. Y/n isn't there. Oh well.

I get up and look for him.
"Hey uh, swiss have you seen y/n?" I ask.

"Yeah he's out with sodo at the guitar shop" he says

"Didn't even bother to say hey to me eh.." I say under my breath. "Hm?" Swiss hums.

"Nothing" I say.

Its 12:30pm and I'm out walking around just looking around music shops stuff like that. I spot y/n.

"Hi papa!" He says before I stop him. "Don't even.." I say. "Where were you?!" I shout. "Uh well..Cardinal.." he says.

Oh he's fucking done it.

It starts to rain, smudging my facepaint.

"I am FUCKING DONE.. First my own mother can't call me papa and now you!? It's always "Hello cardinal." OR "I can't call you papa, Cardinal." IM FUCKING DONE."

Y/n just looks down.

"I knew it. You don't actually love me." I say with my voice breaking and tears pouring down my face as I walk off.

"No Papa please-!" He shouts as I ignore him.

He grabs me and I really regret this but I..

I slapped him.

"Papa..." he looks down holding his cheek.

"Shit I, uh I'm so sorry y/n i-"
I sputter as I break down.

He walks off.

I feel bad.

I'm always making things worse.

I stare at my hands and then look at my reflection in a puddle.

I can't look at myself.

Nobody can.

Y/n's pov

It had been 5 hours since copia walked off. And finally he came back.

"Hello..everyone." he says, he's absolutely drenched.

He glares at me angrily and ignores me the whole rest of the day.

Oh shit what have I done.

What have I DONE.

"What did you do." Mountain says. "I don't wanna talk about it. It was a huge mistake.." I say. "Fine" he says slightly annoyed.

It gets to 10pm and I start to get tired. "Hey guys can I sleep in one of your rooms, I can be with papa atm.." I ask.
"Sure share with me" sodo says. " thanks man" I say. "Im gonna sleep now if that's alright." I say."Yeah it's fine sleep well" he says."you too.." I say drifting off.
