Yours eyes swallowed in the disastrous state of your kingdom. Although many days had eventfully passed, you couldn't brushed over the broken down buildings that took years to built and the crops that took months to grow.
It's been rather hard for yourself as you've been trying to find a better place for everyone in your small kingdom to reside themselves in for awhile.
Staring outside your bedroom window, your eyes continued to take in the horrible sight.
"Y/N. Don't stare too long or you'll get more upset." Someone spoke to you. It was Elith, your subordinate and one of your long term friend. She was a tall and dark skinned woman with purple, fuzzy hair and matching purple eyes. Her saddened smile and slight furrowed eyebrows was an expression to let you know that she was just as stress as you were. Perhaps even more?
"I.. I can't, Elith. My people worked so hard to make this kingdom!" You outstretched your hands to motion to the view in front of you, which she only slightly nodded to. "And now.. It all went down the drain because of that stupid storm." Elith tried her best to hold in her giggled at your minor, angry fit.
"I know it's hard, Your highness, but we can't keep the negative energy up. It'll distract us from the good things that may appear."
"Ugh," You groaned. "I know.. It's just.." You sighed.. "I feel like such a disappointment. How was mother such a good queen? I'm pretty sure she would've predict that a storm was coming five days ahead." You pouted and your purple head friend couldn't help but frown as well.
"Well..." Elith started. "I found a village that's almost nearby.. Perhaps... You can maybe visit it?" You quickly turned your head toward the woman and widen your mouth in shock.
"You found a village? Since when were going to tell me?" You shook her harshly in a frenzy. "Should I go visit them? What if they don't apply to my ordeals? What if they don't like elves and actually despises them? What if-"
"Alright, Queen!" Elith took ahold of your shoulders and stared into your eyes. "What have I told you about negative energy?"
"It'll blind us from the good things that'll appear.. Or something like that."
"Exactly." Elith breath out before letting go of your shoulders. "I haven't scheduled a meeting for you, but maybe you can still visit him? Tomorrow, of course. I'm sure he won't mind.. Hopefully. I told Zeldin to pack your clothes as well as snacks." You softly smiled, a bit of nervousness hidden behind them. "Don't worry. I know you got this," She placed a hand on your shoulder. "And if you don't.. Just use your good ol' acting skills."
You laughed. "Yeah. I'll do my best. Not only for me, but for the kingdom." You looked back at the broken buildings and the messy land that many of your people were having struggles fixing. "I won't make any of you disappointed."
