Your sight showed a hint of blurriness as you woke up from your sleep. It was the next day and the sunlight from the window peaked through the curtains and painted itself onto you. You blocked the light from your sight before releasing a yawn.The incident from yesterday rushed itself into your mind as you remembered your interaction with the old woman. You continued to wonder who she was and how she knew who you were. Did she really knew your mother?
You let out a frown. You were hoping to forget about yesterday's chapter and to begin the day with a fresh start, but now, you knew it was impossible.
You were about to remove yourself from the bed when you felt the weight of an arm around you. Your heart heightened it's speed as you turned to see who arm it belonged too. Rimuru eyes began to open as he shifted himself on the bed. You released a breathy sigh. You didn't understand why you felt so nervous then and there. You were at least happy it was Rimuru and not some random stranger.
"You're up, Y/N." The blue head let out a yawn and sat up from the bed. You followed suit and respond with a tired nod.
"Yeah. Woke up just a few seconds earlier than you." You smiled as you spoke.
"You must've been really tired last night. I came in to you sleeping."
You only shrugged. "Can't really say that. I just wanted the day to end quickly."
"Did something bad happened?" Rimuru cocked his eyebrows as he questioned you with worry. You only frowned.
"I guess...I'm not ready to talk about it." You sat up from your spot on the bed and made your way to the bathroom.
"That's fine." Your fiancè smiled. "Oh, Benimaru called yesterday. I had to attend a meeting with Carrion."
"Carrion?" You had a toothbrush in your mouth as you spoke. "Is that a demon lord?"
The blue head nodded.
"So what was the meet up about?" You spit out the toothpaste that was in your mouth before rinsing out the remaining substance.
"It was something about Millim going berserk and fighting Carrion."
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion as you exited out of the bathroom. "Isn't Carrion a demon lord? Same with Millim? Why was she fighting him if they're basically on the same side?"
Rimuru only shrugged. "It seemed it wasn't really her." He then released a sigh. "We'll worry about that later. You coming with me to meet the kids today?"
"Yeah. I'll just be somewhere first. You can go without me."
~~~
Ranga trotted beside you as soon as you exited the bakery shop. You eyed the buns in the paper bag as you made sure your order wasn't ruined.
Both you and Ranga were walking down the street, leaving the busy area with a satisfied smile. You told Rimuru beforehand that maybe surprising the kids with a meal would make it easier for them instead of going across town for one (and definitely not because you wanted them to like you). With a small nod, Rimuru agreed to the idea and allowed yourself and Ranga to get the well-filled lunch.
You were smiling happily at a the idea of being able to finally meet the kids, as you were too busy last time to do so. That's when an interrupting thought came to mind.
"Oh my gosh, Ranga!" The wolf paused at your sudden outburst.
"What is it, my lady?" He quickly answered with a panic look in his eyes.
