"Can you truly believe that, uh?! That lier ! I was such a fool to think she was getting a little bit smarter than before."

The oldest trio was back home, and even if Levi was exhausted, he decided not to ignore Hange's screams. After all, he did that for too long, and look where did that bring them ; being this angry for something their ex did, their ex that they forget a long time ago, well, he thought so.

"Please, don't scream like this. My poor ears," he sighed while sitting down on his favourite couch, petting his oldest cat, "Why do you have to always react so intensely with everything Y/N's doing ? For the love of god take some rest and keep forgetting that girl like you always did when you were out of the country."

Well, he wasn't very gentle, as always, but at least, he didn't ignore them. Since the last and only time when Hange told him, tears in their eyes, that they needed him, they needed his advices, and not his silence or sarcastic comments, he never ignored them again. He wasn't the best with advices, but he will always be the best listener.

'What the fuck are you talking about Levi ? I'm not-'

'Oh please don't bring me into this, I do not have the strength to fight with you about Y/N again. I'm just saying that, according to your behaviour this last days, I think you care too much about her. You always are on her back, either if it's for something good or bad. Can't you move on ?'

Shocked wasn't even strong enough to describe how Hange's face went. They furrowed their eyebrows, anger in their eyes, 'Don't you dare saying that, do you understand? I'm not on her, I will never again! And you are the best to know how she hurt me, how she traumatised me with relationships, how I cried over her stupid face! Can't you remember, Levi ? Were you too focus on your own self to see how bad I was when I was with her ?'

Levi directly stared at them, darkness in his look, maybe with a little bit of bitterness, but for what ?

'Guys-'

'Shut up Erwin, that's none of your business,' Hange declared, a dry tone in their voice.

'It is, actually,' Levi suddenly stood up, meeting Hange right in front of their body, 'you don't have any right to say those things to us, to me. I know I wasn't the best friend back in college, and you know, oh you damn know why, but don't you dare say I wasn't here for you when you were at your lowest. I was here. Always. Erwin too.'

The brunette was speechless, as if looking in the eyes of their two best friend muted them. They were angry, hella angry, with everyone. With the world. It was like, their brain forgot all the times when they had friends who listened to them, like they couldn't remember when was the last time they felt listened, cared, loved. First, Y/N dating Nanaba, Nanaba dating Y/N, as if she couldn't remember how bad Hange was when they broke up with Y/N. Now, Levi, telling that they were 'too much' with Y/N, as if he wasn't the best to understand how their entire soul was reacting when they are seeing Y/N, even if they truly don't want to. How can he say such things when he know how terribly they feel.

'How do you-'

'Where you there?' He suddenly asked.

'What?'

'Where you here for me, back to those past years, when I was at my lowest?'

'What are you talking about now? I was , of course I was! Even if I was miles away!' They exclaimed, hand on their heart.

'You wasn't,' he begun,

'Levi-' His lover tried to stop him, but it was too late. He finally decided to tell them how he really felt.

'You wasn't ! You wasn't there for us Hange, for me. You wasn't ! Where were you, the day I lost my uncle? Or the day I finally opened my tea shop, or the day me and Erwin moved on together? Uh?! Where were you?'

Hange was, again, speechless. But now, they didn't have any anger in their look, only pity and remorse. They were watching Levi, debating on how the day they left, him and Erwin never dared to tell them to not go, that they always told them to follow their dreams, but in real-time, they always were badly affected by the fact that they weren't in the same country anymore. That they couldn't see each other like before. How a lost they were. In the other hand, Hange only spoke to them when they had a problem, or when they needed to exclaim some things that happened to them on their new life is Australia. Erwin and Levi always were carefully listening, they never told them to stop. But now that Levi is saying this, Hange begun to realise that it always was about them. Them. Them, and them.
And it was sure that it wasn't their attention, at all. They just forgot how to really listen to someone, as if working on theirself was too hard to keep trying listening to others problems.

They lowered their sight, pure sadness in their beautiful brown eyes, 'I'm going to bed now, sorry if I disturb you guys. Good night,' they fake half-smiled, directing theirself in their bedroom, lefting an angry Levi and a desperately sad Erwin.

The room was illuminated by the moon, its shines coming directly on the sleepy face of Hange. They were standing like this, laying on the bed, for what felt a hundred years. They couldn't sleep. They just couldn't forget how Levi and Erwin were looking at them tonight. They truly hurt them, and they never noticed it. How bad of a monster was they? Did they were that selfish?

Or maybe, they always knew it, but they always refused to accept it, because... because,

Because they were afraid. They were truly afraid of themself, they continually were afraid of ending alone, if people discovered their true personality before themself. And Y/N was the first. She was the first to know the real Hange Zoe, all their bad and good sides, and that was what scared them. Because now, Hange lost the only soul that understood them and loved them the most for who they truly are. They were convinced that if they took their true personality back, they will loose all the people they cared the most again. Were they truly selfish, or did they just build a wall around them? Afraid to be someone they couldn't afford to be, losing people they couldn't afford to loose?

they closed their eyes, their mind full of rotten flowers, a single tear rising on their cheek.

They cried the entire night.

Hey guys!!! it's been a WHILE since I did updated this story :/ sorry for this really short chapter btw,

but im very excited to continue this story again, years after lol, but I would like some recommandations of yours, what would you think Y/N and Hange will do, what do you want to read, more angst? more fluff? do I have to add a plot ? Gimme all of yours ideas !
