We were in love, crazy in love. We're still young but we didn't care, love can make you do all sorts of crazy things.

I wasn't expecting him to take me to a private room and tell me it wasn't working.

"Hey." I smiled, giving him a short peck.

"Hey." He said sadly.

"What's wrong?" I asked, taking his cheek in my hand.

"We need to break up. I don't know if this is Forever or if it's just a break but we need to be separated for a while." He explained.

"What?" My voice cracked.

"I'm so sorry, baby. I'm not good for you right now and I can't let that bring you down." He croaked.

"No, Michael. I can help you." I said.

"I'm not gonna let this hurt you, too, ynn." He smiled sadly.

"But, i- I can help. Whatever it is, Mikey. I can help." I cried.

"I'm sorry, babe. I'm so sorry." He cried, bringing me into a tight hug.

"It's okay. Let me know if you need anything." I said, still crying.

"Okay." He whispered.

I walk back to my own room, the room I was never in to gather all of my things. I wasn't moving out but I was gonna stay with someone outside of the house for the night.

I pick up my phone and dial my best friends number.

"Girl, what are you doing? It's 2am." I heard.

"Larry." I whispered. "Can I come stay?"

As soon as he heard my tone, he changed.

"Of course, I'll leave the door unlocked."

"Thank you." I said before hanging up.

Driving without him was lonely, we never went anywhere without each other.

I finally got to Larry's house, trying to get myself together before I walked in.

I walk to the door, knocking, even though he said it was unlocked.

"Hey, girl. Come on." He said softly.

"Thank you." I sniffled.

"Of course, what happened?" He asked, shutting the door behind us.

I started lightly crying again.

"Michael broke up with me." I cried.

His eyes softened as he pulled me into a tight hug.

"Why? What happened?"

"He said he didn't want anything he was going through to hurt me." I hiccuped.

"That's it? He didn't say anything else?"

"He said he didn't know if this was a break or if we'll be broken up forever." I said, fully sobbing now.

"Oh, honey. Let's go to bed." Larry cooed.

"Thank you, Larry." I whispered
