"These papers need checking."
After another day of schooling and lecturing Guren's class, although you were a year older than his students, Guren was just like any other superior in the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. Additionally, being a member of the Hiiragi Family meant that you carried a significant amount of obligation and huge expectations, which included holding the status of First Lieutenant in the military.
Guren sent additional work to your desk as you expected your "superior" would spare you some compassion, but you were given the role of overseeing his classes because you had nothing better to do than handle your relevant documentation. As if the exam papers weren't enough of a hardship, Guren added extra work.
"Fine fine..." You muttered, retrieved the stack of papers, briefly glanced over them, and then scoffed. "Well, now I know who's failing." You spoke while observing the young man with the raven hair as Guren chuckled to himself.
"Yuichiro Hyakuya. I suspect that child is imagining things. He makes me think of someone." You rolled your eyes, a vein on the side of your forehead bulging as Guren slammed your shoulder as you shrieked, "Hey! Way's simply plain impolite of you to disrespect a Hiiragi like that..." You huffed.
"You do have a standout student in this class, at least." You conceded as you indicated to the young man with salmon-pink hair, "You're Shiho Kimizuki. Am I right?"
"Who's asking?" Your left eye twitched in aggravation as you began to crack your knuckles, and the boy shot you a glance with a raised brow. "Your superior will still when you join the army, so sit up straight twat."
"Now leave me and get to labor; else, Father won't put a halt to you so easily." You said trying to intimidate the Ichinose man as he scowled, "You're poor at impressing others for someone with your high status."
"That's because you haven't seen it in action." You sighed as you slammed your palm against the wooden high teacher's desk, startling everyone in the room except your step sister, Shinoa. The girl was unfazed by your attitude since she was completely aware of your upbringing.
"Hyakuya. You're out as punishment for your failing grade. Seriously, why can't you write some bullshit?" Yuichiro immediately got up and tried to deny his failing grade in your class as you only fired back arguments as you scoffed.
"I mean it!" Yuichiro denied.
"Yeah. And Guren is the worst superior out there, blah blah blah- what more do you want, you prat? I didn't get enough sleep, and you're getting on my nerves." You looked down at the boy, which caught Yuichiro off guard and caused him to scoff. "You're all dismissed." Finally, as everyone exited the classroom, you concluded the lesson until someone poked your waist.
You shook your head and folded your arms as you turned to face your sister. "Do you have a complaint, dear sister?" Shinoa shook her head and let out a little snicker. "Nope~ Just wondering when you'll have a lover~" She coos as she exits the classroom.
"That would be extremely unlikely for someone like me." You grumbled and grabbed your clipboard and documents, but as you turned to face the figure, they pulled the papers from your hands. "Are you seriously overworking yourself?"
"I- It's not that heavy, what are you talking about?" By Kimizuki's quick motion, you nearly sounded troubled. "I don't necessitate the benevolence of someone like you because I'm apparently fine." Kimizuki scoffs and shoves the stack of papers your way. "Okay fine! Be that way."
"I do everything my way."
"Tsk. What a brat." Kimizuki says as you rolled your eyes at him, you didn't exactly despise one other, but Kimizuki always valued how ambitious and compassionate you are in your own way, and what he longed you could've done for yourself was to relax.
