~Jason's POV~

In short, they did not have more answers...

"We've got nothing," Noah says tiredly from his position on a cushion in the library. Next to him is Judas and around them are tons of books and scrolls.

"I've got something," I say and they perk up.
"I've got more questions." Judas face palms and Noah tossed a book in my direction.

"Dude!" Judas shouts in pure frustration.

"Look, I spoke with a nymph. Echo, to be precise." I help myself into one of the couches and lean a bit forward. "She said a bunch of words. Not prophecy, actual words. We just need to find the meaning." Relief washes across their features.

"Let's hear it then," Judas says leaning back into the chair.

"Don't make the same mistake twice, look her in the eyes."

"Okay...anything else?" Noah asks like he knows something and only needs a little confirmation.

"Yes, umm...find the other half."

"That's it!" He says snapping his fingers as shuffles through the books on the table in front of him. Picking one out, he flips through the pages, coming to stop at one of them.

"The other half is the mate, plain and simple. In this case, your mate. Don't make the same mistake twice, look her in the eyes. That can only mean one thing..." There's a rather dramatic pause and I suddenly feel nervous
"You've met your mate before. I don't know what happened or who she is, but if all these things add up, you need to find her again and fast."

Dread passes through me as I digest his words.

You need to find her again...

...and fast

Why does mother nature hate me so much?

"How is his mate related to any of this?" Judas asks.

"I have no idea. But if I'm to make a wild guess, I'll say she's possibly in danger."

Something about how he said that didn't sit right with me. Maybe it's how he said it, or maybe it's because he said she's in danger.

"How do I find her?"

"Where did you first meet her?" Noah turns fully to face me, seemingly eager to solve the puzzle

There's a long pause, almost too long.

"She was the intruder, wasn't she?" A look of disappointment crossed his features

"She was," I reply as nonchalantly as possible, which I found ironic because, on the inside, I was a panicking mess.

"Don't tell me you rejected her."

"I didn't"

"Good. Where is she? How come we haven't met her? How'd you managed to hide her for so long? What's she like? When are we going to meet her?" The one problem I have with this guy is his level of inquisitiveness.

"Dude! Chill!" I exclaim as I massage my temples. I think I'm gonna have a headache.

"Damn Noah, give the man a break." I send judas a silent 'thank you' as I try to come up with an excuse but a minute or two passes by in silence and I've still got nothing, so I decide to come clean

"I didn't let her see me..."

"She's that pretty huh?" Noah cuts me off.

"She's not a member of this territory..."
