Ryeji Oneshots

Cold

"So, are you and Yeji unnie.."

The blond-highlighted girl swung her head perhaps a little too fast at the voice of the red-headed girl beside her.

"What?"

"You know. I mean the way you guys cuddled this morning. In your room-"

"We are just cuddling. Like you cuddle with Yuna all the time. Why?"

"Oh. Nothing. It's just. You are not really a hugger when you sleep. Nowadays, things can be different too."

She kept her eyes down. Watching as she moved her shoe, rubbing it onto the ground. She had her hands well-warmed inside the pockets of her dark blue hoodie.

She believed there was nothing to be scared of. They had been doing that lots more usual than they suppose to so when Chaeryeong got inside her room this morning to them hugging each other on her bed, it was fine. Friends did hug. Yet, here she was. Struggling to answer the latter's question as if it was the hardest on earth.

"It was cold. Last night was cold. Besides, we didn't even awake when we hugged."

She said still keeping her head down while shrugging her shoulders when she felt a touch knocked softly onto one of her shoulder. The side where the other girl was leaning against.

She looked up to see the girl smiling to her.

"You don't have to explain."

It was pretty weird. The smile the other had on her face. The all-knowing smile. It also pretty annoying too. Nonethelessly, it made the scrunch in between her brows faded as she felt a sense of relieves washed over her chest.

It was brief silence between them until the other three of the members finally showed up to the parking lot.

They moved their back away from the van's side that they had been leaning on for the past ten minutes. Patiently waiting for the three to finish packing up as they would currently heading to their dorm.

"What took you so long?"

"Lia unnie had to use the toilet."

The youngest of them said while rolling her eyes at the older. Leaving the older with her mouth agape at the accusation.

"Yah. You used it too!"

"But not as long as you!"

The blaming continued but one of them seemed to have her mind on other interesting figure that only managed to laugh at the two. She did this all the time. Plastering her sight at the oldest among them as her mind flew to many different topics to discuss in the mean time and most of the topics would not fail to include the cat-eyed girl as the headlines.

Sometime the older would catch her whenever she was too deep in her thoughts but some other times when she found herself staring, she would find another topic to cover up the stare. Another jokes. Another teases. Making sure the members would bite the bait she had thrown to think that it was another normal day with her and Yeji quarrels.

"Okay, it's confirmed. It's Yeji's fault."

She announced while a smile crept on her lips afterwards as she saw how the older girl had her face shocked to the statement.

"What do you mean?! I am the fastest!"

"No. Lia is faster."

"I am."

"No. You aren't."

"I am!"

"Lia unnie, you are faster than Yeji right?"
