It's been 3 days since you and Shinso last hung out. You'd long gotten the items you needed to replace and were just waiting for him to ask you to come over.

That's not to say you haven't seen each other since then. The two of you would occasinally bump into each other either at the stairs or happen to be leaving/coming home at the same time. The small conversations that ensued then were nice but always cut short. It seemed as though he was spontanously buying more stuff, though you had no idea what or why.

So on the fourth day you decided to send him a quick message. You were breaking your head merely trying to figure out what you'd say.

Is a 'yo' okay?Or should I ask about work times up front?

You pondered a while longer and drafted up a message. It seemed fine enough so you clicked 'send' and set your phone down.

Not one second after did you hear a flurry of knocks on your door. You stared and approached quickly with weariness, not even bothering to check who it was due to the surprise and worry. Whoever was knocking was clearly impatient. You opened the door and shot the culprit an accusatory glare.

"Shinso, what the hell? Since when do we abuse each other's doors like that?", you interrogated him. You'd almost gotten worried with the abruptness and force behind those knocks but Shinso only stared at you with a smile, completely disregarding your attitude and grabbing your wrist as he pulled you along to his apartment.

"Come look at this. I promise you'll like it.", he said. His tone and the smile he carried snapped you out of your anger rather quickly and you wondered what had him in such a good mood. And why would you like it?

He didn't spare you a glance as he dragged you into his apartment and finally let go of you, walking over to a bo that sat on his bed. He looked inside and his smile stratched out wider. His lit up eyes darted over to you.

"Look in here."

His voice was as soft and controlled as ever but his tone made it hard for you to refuse(not that you would've anyway). You were also very curious as to what had him in such a happy mood. When you looked in, you couldn't help the way your own eyes lit up and the loud gasp that left you.

In the box, cuddled up into a blanket, was a baby kitten. Its eyes hadn't even opened and you knew if you picked it up, it could easily fit in your palm.

"Oh my god...it's so small...",your breathy voice was noticed by Shinso. He grinned when he saw how equally entranced by the kitten you were and he nodded.

"It's a newborn. The mother passed after giving birth, and the litter did too. This little guy was the only one that made it but the owners didn't want the responsibility of nursing such a frail kitten. I couldn't help but offer to take him, so I've been looking into how to nurse kittens this young and buying whatever the internet suggests."

You turned to him in surprise. You didn't doubt he could be responsible but there was one concern in your mind.

"But how are you going to take care of him while you're at work?Does your agency allow pets?"

He shook his head. He began looking away from you while scratching the back of his head and you were starting up to pick on his mannerisms enough to know that he was either guilty, nervous, or both. You stared at him in slight dissapointment as you asked,

"You didn't even think about that when you offered to take him did you?"

"No, I did", he replied in a light tone.

"Then?", you raised your eyebrow in suspicion. You had no idea why he was so fidgety all of a sudden. You were still slightly bent over to look into the box and you couldn't help but straighten up at his next words.
