It was Saturday afternoon when Florence's car pulled up at her house. It was the first time she came back there since she found her ex-girlfriend fucking some guy in their bedroom. She still couldn't believe how Rachel could've tricked her for over a year, all while she was defending her over and over again in front of her friends. But that chapter was closed now and reminiscing over the old times wouldn't change anything.

Looking at her house she suddenly felt like it belongs to a stranger, rather than being the home she grew up in with her family. It was a nice building, her parents was always wealthy enough to secure her and her older brother a good lifestyle. But that didn't mean their family life was as perfect as their home. Florence knew from a small age that she wasn't like her mother wanted her to be. Patricia Brown would do anything to be in the center of attention. She is that woman who would still make the engagement party of another about herself. But not only that, she is also extremely homophobic and never accepted her own daughter's sexuality. When Flo came out to her parents at 13, she even tried to put her into one of these conversion therapy camps. Fortunately her father supported her and could prevent that. When she was 16 years old, her father Frank passed away after battling with cancer for quite some time. After that, life at home was never the same. While her older brother Nick was 21 at the time and away for University, Florence was still living with her mother. However, when Flo turned 18 her mother was suddenly gone, with no traces left of her.

At first she was sad and angry about it, not understanding how a mother could just leave her child without any message. But after a while of living alone she suddenly realized that it was probably for the better. What is the point of staying in touch with a child you don't love?

After starting at her house for quite some time, the brunette finally made her way towards the door. She didn't have to unload much from the truck, since she didn't bring anything that night. Lizzie had been nice enough to lend her some clothes while she had been staying with her. Speaking of the actress, Florence was insanely grateful to have her as a friend. In this last month the two of them have been spending almost everyday together. Of course they also had work meetings they had to attend separately, but they would always meet up in the evening on the the couch to binge watch their newest obsession, Grey's Anatomy. Florence would definitely miss having Lizzie close to her 24/7 but for the sake of her own independent life she needed to finally go back to her own house.

Standing in the house, Flo suddenly felt uneasy about her decision. She didn't know where Rachel would have done it with that man, which made her afraid to touch anything. I should probably hire someone to deep clean here, she thought.

Looking at her phone she saw a missed call from her brother and decided to call him back, as she didn't have anything planned for today anyway. She hadn't heard from him in a while, since he was living in New York for his job and they would only see each other occasionally.

hear your voice again!
It's been ages.

Flo
Yes I'm sorry, I've been very busy with
writing and producing songs for my album
and then also the Rachel thing happened..
but anyway, how are you?

My little sister being a popstar is something
I never imagined would actually happen..

Honestly, I can't even believe it myself yet

I do too, but I know he is very proud of you.

I'm moving back to LA!

What! How come?

I got promoted and they let me choose where
I wanted to go, so I thought I would come back
here and support my little sis.

Flo
That's so great, I'm really happy to
have you back here!
Are you gonna live with me in the house?
I could use some company.

Nick
That would be awesome.

Flo
When are you coming?

Nick
I'm coming over this weekend to sign some paperwork at the company and then I'll move in 3 weeks or so. Do you want to go eat somewhere this Saturday?

Flo
Yes of course. I'm excited to see you again,
we haven't lived together since I was 13!

Nick
Wow. Has it really been that long?
Anyway, I'll have to get back to work,
see you this weekend!

Flo
See ya!

Almost instantly after she ended her call with her brother, Florence got a text from her favorite actress. Her face instantly lit up and a smile spread across it.
