-Drake is literally the most protective boyfriend ever

-He knows you're capable of looking after yourself, and although he does love those times where the two of you are having a power couple moment, he just relishes in the thought that someone would tremble in fear at the thought of laying a finger on you because they know he'd be after them in a flash

-Obviously, this goes the same for him; if anyone hurts your Drake, your crazy, just-as-insane-as-you boyfriend, they're a goner

-You guys met in Coates - he'd been sent there for shooting a kid, you'd been sent there because your parents were beginning to get a little scared of your martial arts skills after you very thorougly beat someone up at school for calling names

-Throughout the FAYZ, you and Drake held tight to each other

-You would comfort him when it got too much and provided yourself as a fighting partner when he got too frustrated with Caine or Diana or Sam or literally anyone

-Speaking of fighting partners, the two of you are extremely well matched: you can predict each other's moves perfectly, and sparring can get a little... heated sometimes

-As in... the two of you are grappling on the floor, slippery with sweat and then suddenly you're straining against each other, breaths mingling, gazes locked, and his eyes will flick down to your eyes for barely a second and then boom you're not fighting any more, you're tangled together, slipping hands under each other's shirts, chests heaving with exertion and something else as you fuck on the floor

-At the beginning of the FAYZ, Caine has no idea this is happening because he's oblivious like that but whenever Diana sees you guys together she always narrows her eyes suspiciously

-Near the end of the FAYZ, everyone knew about you two; Astrid definitely thought it was gross but a few of the other kids have this sort of grim admiration for the way the two of you fiercely protect each other

-But one of the problems with your relationship is that both of you find it hard to put your feelings into words; you still haven't gotten past the thought that maybe emotions and attachment are a weakness, but you're working on it

-Jealousy rarely happens because everyone's petrified of both of you, but when it does it normally ends with *ahem* the two of you fucking

-When Drake gets his whip hand, you can bet your life that the two of you are going to have fun

-You take his new arm as a sort of challenge; you're quick to learn how to exploit it during your sparring sessions, but all the same a little blood will rush to your cheeks when he wraps it around your waist, tugging you closer to him

-There are times for you when his embrace alone comforts you, times where you'd do anything in your power to prevent anyone seeing you the way you are, but you'll always feel comfortable with him, able to let the tears prick your eyes and able to curl into his chest, letting yourself feel small in a world where you must always be more powerful

-You never speak about these moments you have, but there's understanding in his eyes when he holds you as you cry, understanding that runs too deep to just be superficial

-Drake doesn't cry - or so you thought; the first time you really saw him cry openly in front of you was when Diana cut his hand off after Sam burnt him

-You'd made everyone get out, even going so far as to lock the door so no one could come in; you knew what it was like to be vulnerable, and you knew he hated just as much, or maybe more, than you

-He stared at his stump, trembling, and you saw the fear in his eyes: the fear of being useless, the fear of being thrown to the side, another one of Caine's broken toys, the fear of being defeated, the fear that somehow, in the end, Sam would win

-You vowed then that you'd chase that fear out of his eyes

-Drake had melted into you when you had hugged him then, and you kissed his hair and stroked his back, and in that moment there was such sorrow and sweetness that you knew this wouldn't happen again - he wouldn't let it, but still you felt honoured that he felt comfortable enough to rely on you as a life line, as someone to cling on to

-From then on, a line was crossed: he'd seen you vulnerable, and you'd seen him the same way

-Your bond grew stronger from then on, you wouldn't spend all your time doing things, but rather you'd just sit with each other, shoulder to shoulder, basking in each other's presence, sometimes exchanging words, sometimes not

-You would both listen to the Saw soundtracks, your head on his shoulder, his arm around your waist as you murmured to each other about something to talk about with the symphony of screams in the background

-If you ever get gravely injured, Drake will turn into a vengeful hurricane, and he will simply destroy until he takes out the person who hurt you

-And if you die, he'll lose all feelings left in his cold basement of a heart - not like there were many to begin with, but if you're gone, so is the light in his life, so is the semblance of vulnerability, all gone

-He'll be nothing but a husk, filled to the brim with pure, savage violence

-And if he gets you back from a near death experience, he's going to be glued ot your side, whether or not you can fend for yourself

-All in all, Drake is a great boyfriend

-He's not perfect, but he's all you need
