Stirring and huffing

Bondita opened her eyes blinking continuously to get accustomed to the dim light of the room
She felt a little suffocated and her body ached in discomfort

Looking around her eyes fell on the person in front of her laying in a couch with eyes closed, yet he didn't looked asleep

She tried calling him but all that came out her mouth was her breaths

Sighing, she needed water her throat was dry and her lips were perched

She tried to sit up on her own but whimpered seeing so many machines attached on her body and fell back down

But her whimper caught the attention of the person who was laying in front of her he opened his eyes and looked in Bondita's direction

Bondita felt all her discomfort going away when he looked at her with so much longing, still unblinking he looked uncertain and unsure and shaking his head like he was dreaming he again closed his eyes

And Bondita looked at him dumbfounded, is he mad?? Did he not see her? But he did see her, she knows

Then why is he acting like he didn't see her?

Bondita waited for him to again open his eyes and look at her, but he didn't

Getting tired of waiting for him, she finally decided to take matters in her own hands

"A..ani..Anirudh..Ba.bu..." Bondita called him in a whisper

Thankfully the room was so silent that the voice reached Anirudh's ears and he Immediately opened his eyes, sitting on the couch he blinked once, twice thrice and was about to stand up

But then he sat back on the couch slapping himself very hard

"Anirudh, stop imagining..stop imagining.." Anirudh mumbled slapping himself on face

Bondita looked at him bewildered and tapped on her forehead in frustration

Anirudh wasn't looking at Bondita who was pouting not knowing how to stop his blabbering

"Ahhh..." Bondita shrieked when she tried to again sit up but felt the pain on her head

"Bondita.." Anirudh yelled walking towards her hurriedly

Even if it's his imagination, he still can't see her in pain

That's how much he loves her

"What happened?? Are you hurt?? Where..where is it hurting?? Should I get a doctor?? YES I should get the doctor " Anirudh spoke hurriedly and was about to leave when he felt a soft grip on his wrist

"I don't need any doctor, I need you.." Bondita spoke weakly

Anirudh turned around slowly his eyes moist

"Bondita??" He looked questioningly
and Bondita smiled slowly

"Yes, Anirudh Babu it's me, in real not any imagination.." Bondita spoke as she took his hand and placed on her cheek

And the very next second she was pulled in a tight hug, tight but not tight enough to hurt her

"Bondita..bon.. Bondita..Shona..you..you are..awake..you..are awake..my..Shona..is awake.." Anirudh sobbed on Bondita's shoulder repeating that she was awake and not going to leave him, chanting her name

Bondita herself felt so emotional that she couldn't stop sobbing herself

After almost half an hour of holding each other Bondita finally felt calm and wiping her tears she tried to separate herself from Anirudh but he just held her more tightly not letting her go..
