Y/ns pov
I woke up to the feeling of aidan kissing all over my face , I opened my eyes slowly and giggled
" wakey wakey" he whispered into my ear , sending shivers down my spine " its Christmas"
I shot up , almost head butting aidan as I did so
" is everyone up?" I asked , he nodded " well, let's get the present thing done quick. We have a party to go to "
His face lit up and he lifted me , my legs wrapped around his waist
" are you feeling a little better now?" I asked , referencing to the events of the previous day
" yeah, thanks for letting my mental breakdown happen without perpetual questions. It really helped" he kissed me and began walking us downstairs
I had wrapped aidan a new guitar a couple of days previous to today, it was custom made for him, with fagus sylvatica wood with a nice dark brown finish and nylon strings. I really hoped he would like it, It had our names engraved with small letters somewhere on the back of it too.
He placed me down as we walked into the living room , mum had set everything out perfectly under the tree
" hello lovebirds" mum waved "are you ready to open gifts?"
The robinsons family sat happily in their Pjs on the sofa with mum and dad. Their was another sofa completely for us beside it thankfully.
" of course " I smiled
I led aidan to the second sofa and sat us both down
" will , can you give everyone the gifts with their names on them?" Asked dad
" yes sir" will walked over and gave everyone small gifts and big gifts , I had five at my feet already when he suddenly pulled out a huge box " some help here"
Aidan had a small smug look on his face as wills dad helped him carry it over to me
After a while everyone had all of their gifts infront of them
" ready, start opening!" Mum cheered
I gave aidan a happy look then opened a small one with cute wrapping. It was from mum and had a small pandora bracelet with little instruments and reptiles as charms .
" omg this is so cute aidan " I showed it to him and he smiled gently, then picking a small thin one that was from my dad " huh, didn't expect him to get you anything " then again , I didn't expect mum to get him five things so hey ho.
He carefully peeled off the wrapping to reveal a sheet of paper with the words 'I'm sorry' written in big messy letters with a sad face beside them .
I saw aidans smile grow as he folded it and put it in his pocket
" open the big one next " he said "it's from me"
" only if you open that big one next, it's from me " I chuckled
" alright " he laughed , then picking it up
I pulled the heavy box closer to me, we both ripped off the wrapping and began to carefully undo the boxes and .... holy shit
He had gotten me a cello.
" aidan, how did you know I can play the cello?" I asked
" well you were talking to your friend Angelica in music and I heard you say 'it's a shame my cousin pawned off my cello when I moved to france, I loved playing it' " he shrugged , I kissed his cheek and watched as his eyes widened at the sight of a new guitar " y/n." He looked at me , then the guitar , then back at me "y/n."
I giggled " what?"
" acoustic guitars cost so much, you didnt have to spend that much money on me" he said then picking up the guitar and examining both sides of it closely " is that our name-- you had this custom made. Baby, I love it thank you so much but dont waste all your money on me"
I laughed and rested my head on his shoulder while opening a present from dad
It was two wooden sculptures of smaug and cheddar, painted to look just like the two and at their exact sizes
" cute " I exclaimed " these are coming back to France with me , and speaking of pets, where is five?"
" hes in his cage sleeping " aidan replied
I thanked him and resumed what I was doing

After a while I finnished opening my gifts , I had put them carefully into a box so they didn't get dented or harmed in any way.
The cello was still out, I was infact tuning it now . I wanted to play considering I hadnt in years
" aidan " mum walked over " the robinsons are leaving later today, but my sister , her kids and my mum are gonna be over till new year. Sorry if they act strange , they can be dramatic when it comes to y/ns relationship status"
" oh" he sighed " that's ok, I'm used to people being the tiniest bit dramatic about it"
" and d/n is going to be emotional when they're over as always, just be wary about the mention of family around him. He never knew his grandparents, and his parents died when he was your age . On top of that hes an only child, just like his mum and dad so he didn't really have anyone as a kid" She explained further
" that's horrible " aidan replied "I'll try and be careful, thank you mrs.thompson"
" no problem aidan, and its m/n to you" she patted his shoulder and walked away
I began playing a tune on th cello , dramatic, yet calm.
" y/n, its 10:30 " said aidan " you said you wanted an hour and a half before the party to get dressed "
" thanks baby " I kissed him " I'll try and be done quickly, ok?"
" ok" he cupped my cheek " see you later bubs " we kissed again then I quickly walked away to get dressed
