Wei WuXian was looking at Tian Xing with a horrified expression.

"Who are you?" He asked, sternly.
"I am not sure" She answered, truly.
"Don’t fuck with me."
"Language twinkle toes. And I truly don't know. I have amnesia remember? I suppose if I meditate a bit, I can figure out."

Wei WuXian at this point had his guard up, Tian Xing could tell.

As a cultivator and a person who practiced martial arts in her previous life, she had her senses on high alert.

Don't ask why she knew self defence methods.

Tian Xing rubbed her temples, "Can you leave me alone for a while twinkle toes, please? I know it's hard to trust me, but I think you know I can't do much in the state I am in."

Wei WuXian eyed her suspiciously, "Is that so? Also what's with the nickname?"

Tian Xing was now laughed, "Hahahahaha it just came out twinkle toes." 'Thanks to Toph Beifong' she thought a bit cheekily.
"And I am not exactly... " She  didn’t know how to say she was not human without making things even more suspicious than it already is.

"Exactly what?"
"I am not here to harm anyone. Know that much. I need to meditate a bit to heal myself further. You don't want me stuck here, do you?"

Wei WuXian glared at her and she wanted to laugh. 'What a cautious child as always. WuXian, if only you knew...'

Oh if only.

Suddenly she felt a pang of pain in her heart as she remembered her past life.

"𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘚𝘰𝘰𝘫𝘪𝘯-𝘢𝘩. 𝘔𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴." 𝘙𝘶𝘣𝘪 𝘴𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥.

"𝘜𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘦𝘦𝘦𝘦𝘦." 𝘚𝘰𝘰𝘫𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘥, "𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦." 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘺.

"𝘏𝘢𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘩𝘢! 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦."𝘙𝘶𝘣𝘪  𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥.

Suddenly there were flames.

The entertainment building.

No-

Wait-

Soojin-ah!

Too late.

The next time Rubi saw Soojin, she was unrecognisable. Burned, devoured by flames of accident.

Why?

Why did this happen?

What did the poor girl do?

Wasn’t being kicked out of Cube enough? Wasn’t being scandalized for being a bully and hated for it enough? Wasn’t being blamed for something she didn’t even do enough?

" Oiiiiiiii. Earth to Lady Tian."

Tian Xing snapped out of her stupor.

Wei WuXian was repeatedly calling for her. Truth be told, he got worried seeing the face of absolute pain and grief on her.

"Ah sorry. I just seem to remember something. "
"So did you finally remember who you are?" He said rolling his eyes.

Tian Xing laughed, "No. Something else. Twinkle toes, you should go before the Madam comes in again. I don’t want her scolding you. She already left a bitter taste in my mouth. Let's see what I can do for this..."

Her neon yellow eyes glowed and started to become long vertically, but she controlled her anger.

Wei WuXian seemed to agree with her and with a bow and wishing a good night he left the infirmary.

Tian Xing looked at the mirror and gasped.

'Holy crap. I look like one of the alternates from the Mandela Catalog.' (Check it out if you are a horror fan. That stuff's gold.)

Her eyes were wide apart and vertically impossibly long, so was her face.  Her skin was already so jarring it made her scared of her reflection a bit. (Get the reference? Hehehe.) 

And then there were her orbs. Now she understood why she felt like her eyes belonged to Valak from Conjuring 2.

It's because she is actually of his kind.

She was a born demon by blood here. That’s the reason she is so overpowered.

That's the reason she has both spiritual and resentment energy, co-existing in her veins.

Tian Xing didn’t know how to feel about this revelation.

How did she even cultivate this much?

'I suppose it’s because I died at 30. This body probably has 30 years worth of cultivation.'

She groaned a bit and started to meditate.

Controlling her powers did NOT prove to be easy.

It was super challenging. Tian Xing was reminded of her time as trainee in the entertainment as Rubi.

Rubi was an idol, who was the epitome of confidence, she felt what she sang, rapped and danced to.

Being such an influential soloist from Hybe was not easy at all.

Hate comments were there ever since her debut. Not that she let them get to her.

At least not at first.

'Why am I thinking about these things? I should think about the matter at hand.'

Whatever was her past was not relevant to this life.

She had to control her powers.

It took her three hours to master her forms and powers.

By that time it was already dead of night.

Tian Xing yawned and finally decided that it was time to sleep.

She closed her eyes and indeed after a short while, sleep came over her, and took her to the sweet oblivion.
