Tian Xing was getting a headache at this point. She had been helping the people in Cloud Recesses in any way possible and had been getting constant stares from people and it was getting horribly annoying.

She wanted to scream at them that she was here to help and not kill anyone. But oh well.

The healers were doing there job and Tian Xing was being kept under supervision even after helping the Lan Sect.

Apparently they suspected her to be a spy.

'I swear on everything holy, these people are no different than those delulu people who think they are the only ones right in this world and there can't be another opinion other than theirs.'

To be honest, Lan WangJi also staring at her. But it didn't really hold suspicion. His golden gaze held curiosity.

Tian Xing sighed and went to check on the other disciples she had helped during the invasion. They were mostly healed due to their spiritual energy and were not that injured thanks to her timing.

'It's a miracle how I actually managed to come here in the nick of time.'

Tian Xing then felt the gaze of a person behind her back. She turned and saw golden eyes staring at her.

"Second Young Master Lan? Is there anything you need from me?"
"Who are you?"

Tian Xing smiled. As direct as always, she thought.

Lan WangJi had always been very stern but that was only his exterior. In the inside he was strong but fragile. He was calm but felt things deeper than anyone ever could.

The boy was so precious. Even he was a youth filled with passion to see the world.

It reminded her of the trainees who she saw in Hybe. That same fire in there eyes.

She knew once upon a time, her eyes held the same fire.

"My name is Tian Xing. I am a rough cultivator. I saw the Wens approaching and then saw the invasion happening. So I came to help."

Lan WangJi, obviously, did not believe it. Tian Xing understood by the way he looked at her, but he didn't question that any further.

Instead he took another approach.
"Why did you help us and not the Wens?"
"The Wens have always been a Sect of tyranny. I knew they were leading a siege on the Lan Sect just for the sake of establishing power. I couldn't just stand doing nothing."
"Fair enough."

Tian Xing looked at the boy and asked, "Where is your brother? Did you get any news of him? I heard that he left with the important scrolls and scriptures according to the command of his father and uncle."
"Mn. There has been no news."

Tian Xing sighed. She knew where Lan XiChen had gone. But she couldn't tell. They will get even more suspicious of her.

Tian Xing instead told him something else, "You should check on your father and uncle."
"Mn."
"QingHeng-Jun has been in seclusion for so long. You must have been surprised seeing him."
"Mn."
"You don't seem interested in him."
"You seem way too interested in us."
