The sun was shining through the large windows as Lysanna went back to her quarters after lunch. It was Sunday noon, apparently the first real day of spring and admittedly Lysanna didn't feel like spending the day in her office.

"Lysanna! Here you are!" She heard her aunt's voice behind her and turned around.

"Minerva." Lysanna greeted her aunt kindly. In the last few weeks they hadn't had much time for evenings together.

"A lovely day today, isn't it? How about a walk and a cup of tea afterwards?" Minerva asked, already pushing Lysanna with her with one hand. Lysanna nodded, a walk sounded tempting.

Lysanna felt the cold air as the two women had left the thick walls of the castle. Although the sun shone powerfully from the sky, the gentle wind still remembered them of the winter that had just passed. It was only the middle of March, but the first buds could already be seen on the meadows and on the trees.

"How are you getting on with your occlumency lessons? I hope Severus isn't as harsh on you as he is on our students." Minerva asked with an amused giggle after they had talked extensively about Lockhart and the Chamber of Secrets.

"Good. I think I'm actually making some progress. Yesterday we switched roles for the first time." Lysanna explained. She had to smile at the thought of yesterday's closeness and the unexpected interruption.

Minerva looked at them questioningly, in the meantime they had reached the shore of the big lake.

"Yesterday I tried to enter his mind for the first time and I even was in control, at least for a brief moment," Lysanna continued, reviewing the memories she had seen yesterday.

"Fascinating. You've always been very talented. But Lysanna, isn't it strange to let someone into their thoughts?" Her aunt seemed extremely interested.

"I have to admit, I was a bit scared at first, but Severus has proven to be extremely patient and..." Lysanna hesitantly searched for the right words, "...careful."

Minerva nodded with a barely noticeable grin.

"You two seem to get along well, is that possible?" Minerva asked. So that's how the land lied, Lysanna had already expected that question to come up.

"Well, inevitably, he learned quite a lot from me. I mean, he was in my thoughts and at first was able to look around almost unhindered. But...Severus...I trust him. This is important. And to answer your question, I think there's more to his stern facade than that." Lysanna admitted, biting back an amorous grin. It took her aunt a moment to continue:

"Poppy made a hint like that at dinner last night."

Oh no. So she had actually seen the hug? Lysanna had to be careful not to give away more. She wasn't particularly keen on becoming the talk of the whole school.

She looked into her aunt's grey eyes questioningly.

"Well, she had the impression that she might have disturbed the two of you. Yesterday.", Minerva continued, but Lysanna noticed that her aunt was also careful not to reveal too much at once. Lysanna wasn't sure what Poppy had told Minerva.

"Well, she did. She suddenly just stood in the door. We were busy and hadn't heard a knock." Lysanna explained calmly.

"Busy. Lysanna, don't even try to fool me. Poppy saw that you hugged each other." With a grin, Minerva now put all her cards on the table.

Lysanna's heart just seemed to have stopped for a moment. Poppy had seen them and told Minerva straight away. Who else knew about this?!

Unfortunately, there was little point in fooling her aunt.
