Anger? Lust? Confusion.

There weren't and couldn't have been few words that could describe what you had felt when Seraphine locked her lips with yours. On the one hand, the pulsing love and pleasure had ignited a reciprocated response to her advances.

On the other hand, as the moments died down to where you had a moment of clarity, where the world stopped revolving around the two of you, where time started again - a feeling of betrayal lit up in your heart scarred by such the idea.

As you rolled away from Seraphine's body, intoxicated with pleasure, you took the moment to sit up and stare blankly ahead, lost in thought. You grimaced, wondering where your future even lay.

With Ahri? She had following her even more problems should you ever see her again; what would be your response to everything that had happened - the breakup, the dream...

...or was it with Seraphine? Who you had barely known, that in a string of unfortunate events became attached to, and now had a connection with.

"(Y-Y/N)?" Wisps of hot air came passing by your right shoulder as her soft voice rung with nervous intonation. An aura of concern from her voice caused you to flinch.

"Sera..." you say before pausing, collecting your thoughts.

"I...I shouldn't have," she stammers, her embarrassment evident in her voice. "It was so tempting, and..."

A gentle touch on her arm and a reassuring, though slightly forced, smile was enough to silence her. "It's fine..." you lie.

Half-lies and half-truths, your life was full of them.

Seraphine, unconvinced with your reassurance, doesn't contest and stays silent.

"I shouldn't have gotten into that situation, returning your kiss. Don't get me wrong, it was nice..."

She sheepishly frowned. Her embarrassment was evident.

"But it's my fault that all of this had to happen. Having reminded myself that Ahri is somewhere out there day in and day out...it hurts knowing. And it hurts believing that I can't get away from her. But listen..." you say, placing a hand on her shoulder. "If none of this works out with me and Ahri, if I never see her again, then hey - I like you too."

"R-Really?" her voice quivered with a sense of hope.

With a nod, you offered her a more genuine and heartfelt smile. "Let's give it some time, alright? In the mean time, I'll get some closure one way or another. I'll have an answer then, whether it's good or bad news. Hopefully, you will too."

Tears welled up in her eyes and threatened to spill over. She sniffled and nodded her head in agreement.

"I-I'll think about it too..."

With a gentle swipe of your thumb, you wiped away the tears that had escaped from her eyes, feeling satisfied with your response.

There are too many loose ends that need to be tied; too many openings, not enough closure. Questions without answers. She'll understand, right?

You hoped so.

(A Few Hours Later)

Satisfied with your efforts, you take a moment to survey the apartment and catch your breath. You let out a weary "huff" before grabbing a rag from the counter and wiping the sweat from your head and neck area, tossing it into the sink after you finish.
