Heart of ice

Heart break...

Aurora's POV

River carries me up to his room and places me on his bed. I didn't realise having your heart broke hurt so bad. I curl up into a ball on his bed and sob. 

"I-it hurts Riv. I want it to stop" I cry out. 

"I'll kill them all Aurora, I promise" he grits out. 

I look up at River, making eye contact with him. My face soaked with tears. 

"Why wasn't I good enough Riv? I've never let myself get close to anyone. They all knew, they stood there and watched me get humiliated. I thought they were my friends. He was my first kiss, the first person I've let touch me, my first everything. They've all been laughing at me behind my back, they probably laughed at me when he told them he took my virginity. I didn't do anything wrong, so why am I being punished" I sob out. 

I see River's jaw tick and the he storms out, leaving me to sob in his bedroom. 

River's POV

Seeing Aurora sob her heart out is breaking my heart. The anger I'm feeling is unmatched. How dare they do this to her. 

I storm downstairs and see everybody still here. Are they taking the piss out of me. 

"GET THE FUCK OUT NOW. ALL OF YOU!" I scream. 

I pick up the vase next to me and throw it at my group of 'friends'.

I watch as people start to rush out, they're tripping over each other because they can't get out quick enough. 

"You've broke her, are you happy? Was it worth it?" I question. 

Hunter starts to walk over to me, I hate him. I hate all of them. 

"Come near me Hunter and I promise you I'll put you on your arse" I tell him, glaring his way. 

He stops his movements and just then I see Kade coming towards me and I know he's not going to stop. 

Rage, that's all I feel in this moment. The closer he gets to me, the worse he gets. 

As he reaches me, I grab a glass bottle and smack him around his head. I watch as he drops to the floor. 

I stand over Kade, as he groans.

"Come near her, talk to her or even breath near her and I'll end you. I will always protect Aurora. That girl that's breaking her heart upstairs, well she's my person, she's my best friend. You might be my brother Kade, but you've just lost that title. I hope she unleashes hell on you" I spit out at him. 

I stand up to my full height and look at my ex-friends. 

"The goes for all of you. We're done, never coming back from this" I tell them. 

"River this isn't you" Theo speaks up.

He's got some balls. This isn't me? What shouldn't be them is hurting an innocent girl who gave them nothing but her pure heart and friendship.

"You hurt one of the only people that I care about. You really think I give a fuck what any of you have to say after that stunt you've pulled" I look at them all in disgust and begin to walk away, but stop.

"You know she'll come after you all. Whether it's tomorrow, a few months or even a year. She'll come for you and when she does I'll be standing next to her. She'll make sure that you all pay and I'll sit and watch, just like you all did when her world was ripped apart" I say.

I walk upstairs, leaving them all to clean up the mess that is Kade. Aurora's my priority. 

I walk into my room and the sight in front of me is heart breaking. The dried tears down her face are evidence that she's cried herself to sleep. 

Kade's gone too far this time. I know she's going to make him pay and I have full trust in her that she will make it hurt, but an extra pair of hands wouldn't hurt. That's why I decide to grab my phone and text the one person I know will be able to help.
