Aurora's POV

I've just got ready for school, making sure that I look my best. I'm currently sitting on the bed, waiting for River to finish getting ready.

"Shouldn't you be heading off? You're going to be late" River questions.

I look up at him. "I thought we could go into together, considering I go to your school now" I smirk at him.

"How? when?" He asks clearly shocked.

"Well Riv, seeing as I have an absent mother. I just simply just called her crying saying that I didn't want to go to that school anymore and that I want to move to starlings high. I think the shock of her hearing me cry for the first time in years prompted her to put the transfer in action" I simply tell him.

River just stands there staring at me flabbergasted with his mouth ajar.

I stand up from the bed. "Let's go Riv, we're definitely going to be late if you keep standing there" I tell him.

I make my way down the stairs with River standing next to me. I feel a nudge on my shoulder.

"You're planning something" I hear him say.

I roll my eyes. "Of course I'm planning something Riv. I wouldn't just transfer to your school for no reason you dummy" I say.

I make my way into the kitchen and stop in my tracks. In front of me stands Grey without his shirt on and grey jogging bottoms hanging low on his hips. How can one man be so good looking. I'm so lost in my thoughts that I haven't even realised he's staring at me.

River shoves me and that's when I come back to reality. I finally make eye contact with Grey and he's got a cocky smirk plastered on his face. Great, he definitely saw me being a perv.

I look over at River and grab his arm. "Come on Riv, we'll just get breakfast on the way" I tell him.

As we're exiting the house, I can hear Grey laughing. I was so busted back there. It should be illegal to have abs that look like that.

...

We're nearly at school and the whole way River hasn't stopped moaning that he hasn't had anything to eat. I might have lied when I told him we'd get food on the way, but I just needed to get out of that house.

We make our way in the school building and through the doors. As we make our way down the corridor everyone seems to have gone quiet. Has nobody seen a new kid before?

"Everybody is staring at us" River tells me.

I completely ignore River and carry on making my way down the corridor to a certain group of people who have their backs towards me.

"Hello boys, what are we talking about?" I ask them.

They all turn around, startled by my presence. I smirk knowing that I have them rattled.

"Aurora, what are you doing here?" Theo asks me.

I look to the side of me and see River sending daggers to them all. He's like my own personal guard dog.

"It's nice to see you too Theo" I say.

I watch as Theo goes red and looks at the ground.

"To answer your question though, I'm here to carry out a few things. Plus, I wasn't going to let River come back to school by himself when they have a rat problem" I smile at them.

River sniggers beside me and I smile at that.

"Please Aurora, we're sorry. Kade's our best friend, we always look out for each other" Hunter finally says something.

"Don't worry Hunter, I get that. However, I'm here to deliver you all some personal hell. The thing about that is that you won't see it coming, so it's best to be alert at all times" I grin.

"W-what are you doing here?" a voice says behind me.

Oh this is about to get good. I turn around and come face-to-face with a pale faced Brianna.

"I've moved schools silly. I'm just here to simply bless you with my presence" I inform her.

I look over at River who can't keep a straight face. I hook my arm with his and let him lead the way, leaving the group behind me in utter shock.

...

Yep, I still hate school. Moving to a different school hasn't changed that. After all of the introductions in the morning, I've finally made it to lunch.

Me and River are currently sitting in the busy cafeteria chatting away when I look towards the entrance and I see Alex, Theo and Hunter hassling a boy with glasses. He looks uncomfortable and they seem to have him pinned in spot.

I stand up and make my way over to them. As I get closer, I can hear Hunter demanding the boy to empty his pockets. What a dick. I quickly take a photo of the scene in front of me and then put my phone away. I'm going to teach you a lesson you won't forget Hunter.

Once I reach them, I grab a fistful of Hunter's hair from behind and slam his face into the wall in front of him. A bone crunching noise is heard throughout the cafeteria. I release his hair, as he yelps in pain.

"Don't be a fucking dick" I grit.

Hunter turns around to face me, gripping his bloody nose.

"You've broke my nose" he manages to say.

"Good, it might make an improvement to your looks, shame it won't improve your personality. Don't ever bother him again because next time, I'll make sure your nose is shattered and not just broken" I warn.

I've clearly made my point because all three boys exit the cafeteria. I look at the boy and notice that his glasses are being held together by tape.

"What happened to your glasses?" I ask him.

He doesn't answer me and instead looks behind me. I turn around and notice everybody is staring in shock.

"Carry on staring and you'll find out what happens when people don't mind their business" I shout to them all. Everybody instantly goes back to what they're doing.

I turn and face the boy again and wait for an answer.

"They broke my glasses about a week ago" he tells me.

I feel the rage building up again.

"Why are they targeting you?" I question

He looks back up to me. "They don't get on with my older brother, they target me to get a rise out of him. I'm like a pawn to them in a game" he explains.

Now doesn't that sound similar. I can understand him on that one.

I smile at him and hold out my hand. "I'm Aurora" I tell him.

He smiles at me and introduces himself as Aiden.

"Well Aiden, if you have anymore problems from them come and find me and I'll deal with it" I ensure him.

Aiden thanks me and I watch him leave the cafeteria, as I make my way back over to River.

"Not even a full day and you've already broken somebody's nose" River says, biting on an apple.

I look over and smile at him. "I think it was justified"

"Oh it was definitely justified" he tells me.

The bell rings indicating that lunch is over. I can't wait for this day to be over.
