"kiss me." he said as he held up the mistletoe. without hesitation i kissed him, like any girl would tbh.
he dropped the mistletoe and placed his hands on my waist as i placed my hands on his cheeks. (which ones 🤣 sry.)
he pulled away and looked me in the eyes. i looked up at him and smiled. i missed him, idgaf if it was only two days without talking to him. those two days felt like two years.
"y/n" he said as he placed a hand on my cheek
"joão" i said as i looked back at him
"will you be my girlfriend?" he spilled out
those 5 words i've been waiting to hear. i never thought he would ask, especially on christmas.
"of course" i said as i kissed him
it felt good, i could finally kiss him without feeling guilty. kissing his lips knowing he's mine.

that night for dinner joão decided he would take me out. somewhere fancy he said. i went home and decided to get ready. if it was fancy then i had to look good cmon now. he told me he would pick me up in 2 hours. perfect.
i tried something new with my hair, praying it would look good. ofc it ended up looking good, i'm beautiful. i put on my jewelry and a shirt black silk dress. it framed my body perfectly. i decided to put on some sparkly heels.
i touched up my makeup as i heard the doorbell ring. i grabbed my jacket and my bag and opened up the door.
"hey-" joão said, he looked me up and down "wow."
i smiled at him and closed my door. he was wearing a suit, all black. LAWD.
"nice suit." i said
"thanks," he said as he adjusted his tie "this is uncomfy"
"beauty is pain" i said as i laughed at him

he opened up my door for me and i sat in the passenger seat. he plugged his phone in and played music. i buckled up and just looked out the window as he was driving. i realized it wasn't the best idea to wear heels since it was pretty icy but oh well.
"pick a song" he said as he handed my his phone
i decided to play "feel it" bye jaquees. (don't lie that song is good🙏)
"your music taste is interesting" he said as he looked me
i shrugged and sang along with the song. shortly after we had arrived to the restaurant. i unbuckled and put my jacket on, it was so cold. i grabbed my bag and got out the car. i'm really good at walking heels, and these weren't very high ones so it was easy but it was so slippery. i was actually ice skating fr. joão grabbed my waist, making sure i don't fall.
we walked in and went up to the front,
"hi welcome in!" the server said "did you have a reservation?" looking at joão
"yes," he said "for joão"
"that's a cool name," she smiled at him "anyways, follow me." bitch i'm going to trip you.
