Chapter 3: Anniversary Ball

Soon the big day came as the fifth anniversary of the victory for the Chosen Magus who defeated the evil that ruled over the Nexus World with a cold iron fist and freed them from the darkness of their rule. In the Nexus Palace, the guests have arrived and Empress Asami was on the stage, addressing the entire audience in the palace as well as live-recording the entire speech to the people in the city who are variously celebrating as well.

"Fellow people of the Nexus City and the world," Asami announced. "Tonight is the night where on this moment five years ago, Our Chosen Magus with the help of his beloved family came to our world and together, they banished and destroyed the Great Evil as well as the wicked Emperor Mencius who had for so long terrorized us all and our home."

Everyone cheered vigorously at this before Alvaro motioned them to calm down before Asami added, "We've been through a rough time over the course of those years alone, repairing what was once broken and seeing how far we've come to unity our city and people with everyone else brings me joy that even our gods would be proud of! So without further ado, in honor of all the deeds they've done for us, I wish for you to give a round of applause as we welcome our guests of honor, The Hamato Family and our beloved Chosen Magus!"

The room thundered with applause as Michelangelo entered the room gracefully with his family by his side as they smiled and waved at the cheering crowd.

They soon bowed before the Empress who both she and Alvaro bowed back before the Empress then said:

"Ladies and gentlemen, let the celebration commence!!!"

The ball went on with such a lively atmosphere as the Hamato family talked to the guests as Mikey danced happily with the Asami who was having the time of her life.

"I never danced like this before, Mikey," Asami giggled.

"Well Asami, you haven't been living!" Mikey cheered and pulled off some sweet dance moves.

"I've never seen my sister so happy," Alvaro said to Leo with a warm smile at her sister.

"Mikey seems to have that effect on people, always bringing the fun to everyone he meets" Leo chuckled.

"So listen, I was wondering if your brother told you about our offer?" Alvaro brought up the subject.

"What offer?" Leo asked.

"Wait, he didn't tell you?" Alvaro quizzed, feeling like he said something he shouldn't.

"Tell us what?" Leo asked in confusion.

Alvaro cringed a bit and revealed: "We offered Mikey to live here in the palace?"

"What?" Leo widens his eyes.

"Say what?!"

The two of them turn to see Raph and Donnie behind them, looking shocked at what they just heard.

"Mikey wants to move away?" Donnie quizzed.

"He didn't tell you anything about that, did he?" Alvaro sighed.

Raph glared at Mikey dancing with Asami and growled: "No he didn't; he never told us a damn thing"

"Raph, maybe Mikey was planning to talk to us about this and-!" Leo tried to calm Raph down but the hot head immediately went to Mikey as Leo called him out to stop the hot head.
