Chapter 10: The Evil King
The turtle trio were back to the dungeons after using the enchanted crystal to view another vision from the past; Raphael glared at the unconscious Alvaro, fuming after learning what the Chief tried to do to Mikey and his own sister.
"I should put that freak out of his misery" Raphael growled.
"No, don't be like Mencius" Leonardo halted Raph.
"If anyone needs to be put out of their misery, It's Mencius; he and Tavarious are destroying our brother's life and our universe" Donnie pointed out.
"You're right," Raphael nodded.
"We gotta get out of here before they wake up" Leo stated as the trio left the dungeons, leaving the unconscious Alvaro and his guards behind.
They run as fast as they can to find an exit when they managed to escape without alerting the Magerias.
"That was close" Donnie exhaled in relief.
"Now what do we do?" Raphael groaned.
"I say we find a way to see if Mencius has a weakness" Leonardo responded.
"You mean we go back to the city?! That'd be suicide!" Raphael objected.
"What else do we have to lose?! If we can find something to prove to Michelangelo that Mencius is responsible or if we can find a way to weaken Tavarious's powers then we got to take the risk" Leonardo argued.
"He's right, Raph; at this point, we're running out of time to save the universe from being destroyed by their curse" Donnie agreed.
Raphael knew they were right as he then sighs out: "Alright, let's storm the palace"
Eventually they managed to return to the gates of Cybertopia and noticed the gates as they tried to find inside the city without alerting the guards.
"So what now?" Raphael quizzed.
"I'm working on it" Leo replied.
"Uh, guys; why the floor glowing red?" Donnie suddenly quizzed in bewilderment.
Suddenly a dark red portal opens from where they were standing and they fall through it in shock, landing on a tile floor in another building.
"I'm really starting to hate portals," Raphael growled.
"Now what?" Donnie groaned.
"Guys..." Leo gasped.
The three then realised that they were inside the throne room of the Nexus Palace and sitting on the throne was none other than Mencius himself.
"So it's true, you three have intruded into my world" Mencius growled at the trio.
"You son of a--!!!" Raphael growled back and charged at the villain.
"Raph, no!!" Leonardo cried out.
"Fool" Mencius sneered and used his dark magic to trap Raphael in the air like a puppet on strings.
"Let him go!" Donnie demanded.
"You don't get to make the orders here, Donatello" Mencius growled at the smart turtle.
Soon he moves Raphael back to the heroes and stood up from his throne:
"Kneel before your emperor"
"You're insane," Donnie spat at him.
