"What do you think everyone's going to think of Origami?"
Tohka cheerfully spoke to Shido as they walked to school, clutching her school bag - or rather, the lunch box within - to her stomach fairly protectively.
Shido thought for a bit, remembering how it had gone in the previous timeline. He had entered the classroom, only to find Origami trying to be his seat warmer. Their classmates, who had only seen the cute Moegami before, were all bewildered but quickly got used to it."Well... they might be surprised, I guess? Nobody will hate her, though.."
Tohka nodded happily. It seemed like nothing could bring her mood down today, for some reason. As they walked into the classroom, she was about to make her way to her seat like normal but froze upon seeing who was inside.
A familiar black-haired girl wearing a school uniform that contrasted with her usual appearance in her Astral Dress faced them in the classroom.
"Hee-hee. Hello again, Shido."
Kurumi Tokisaki smiled at them while standing in front of her seat, ignoring the stares that she was receiving from the entire class.
Origami quickly moved in front of the pair, breaking the glare-off that she was having against Kurumi while Shido and Tohka were heading towards the classroom.Tohka moved to summon Sandalphon but was hastily stopped by Shido. Left with no other option, she grabbed a pencil, pointed it at the Spirit, and shouted out warily.
"Tokisaki Kurumi! What are you doing here?"
"My, no need to be so rude. I'm merely here to enjoy my school life. Along with Shido. Any complaints?"
"Quite a few."
Origami dropped her voice to a murmur to avoid being overheard by the rest of the class.
"You're after Shido's life. That gives us more than enough reason to be wary of you."
Kurumi tilted her head.
"If I meant any harm, you would be entering a classroom with all of your classmates held at gunpoint and me with my Angel manifested. Is the fact that I haven't done so not enough?"
Shido interrupted the two with a nervous smile.
"Hey, hey, it's fine. Let's just tell Kotori for now."
The argument between the two was more or less resolved, but the class had clearly misunderstood everything. Seeing three girls and Shido whispering to each other had set off their creativity, causing them to come up with increasingly ridiculous conclusions.
"Maybe Itsuka is cheating on Tohka and Origami with Tokisaki?"
"No, no, they're clearly conspiring together to do something to him!"
Shido ignored the random comments around them and continued talking to Kurumi.
"Why are you actually here?"
"Am I truly so untrustworthy? I have given you my reason, and yet you remain skeptical."
Kurumi adopted a hurt expression, but switched back to her usual smile in an instant.
"It's more convenient for me to be here, isn't it? Having 20 Spirits sealed instead of 19 will boost your chances immensely, won't it?"
"You mean you're okay with me sealing you? Don't you want to keep your Reiryoku?"
Kurumi rolled her eyes.
"I've already let you seal me once, so why not twice? How else will you stand a chance against her?"
