If I could time travel
I would go back to the good old days
In a peaceful state of mind
And with no anxiety of life
I would meet my grandparents more often
Over and over again
And carefully listen and appreciate
All the stories they would tell.
If I could time travel
I would go back to my childhood
Into the arms of my mother
And I would play video games with my father.
I would tell them "I love you" more often.
If I could time travel
I would go tell myself that it gets better
That there are friends waiting for him
That he will finally see the beauty in himself
That he will sing in front of people on a stage
That all of his dreams are becoming truths.
If I could only go back
I would spend more time with myself
Drying my tears, facing my fears.
If I could, if I could
But still I can do it now.
