strangers again

Our friendship was just like a house
And we built it brick after brick:
You would tell me your dirty secrets
And I would share my deepest fears.
Suddenly our house started cracking
As if an earthquake hit the insides,
The insides of our hearts,
But we didn't pay much attention to it
Until everything completely fell down,
Six feet under
And all that was left was rubble,
Rubble of our own memories.
In a couple of years
We evolved from strangers to friends
But in a couple of months
We went back from friends to strangers again.
'Cause you're just a stranger I used to know
And our house died a long time ago
Along with a piece of ourselves.
