And she moves around as you wish.
She follows a script you've planned all along
And when I tried to free her
You made me play the villain in your story,
when all I tried to do was being the hero.
I was trying to cut all the threads you weaved.
I was trying to burn all those scripts you wrote.
I was trying to tell her the truth
And let her be herself
But she would still listen to you
She would still make love to you.
She would still feel safe
Being in the costumes you've designed
Following a script you wrote behind the scenes.
And you can stay hiding there all you want
But I won't let you control me too
Because I didn't sign up for your drama club.
