cat stayed like that crying for what seemed like hours. in reality it was only about 20 minutes, but she couldn't seem to stop. her whole life felt like it was falling apart in front of her and she had no idea what she could do to stop it.
her leg burned with the recent cuts, but all she could think about was doing more. i deserve this. she thought as she reached into her bag and pulled out the blade once more.
she knew that it was risky doing it in the middle of the street, but what were the chances that somebody she knew was going to see her two miles away from school in the middle of the city?
she looked around just in case but nobody was there. she slowly dragged the small blade across her skin until she saw little drips of blood fall to the pavement.
again.
again.
again.
a pang of guilt resided in her stomach. she knew that she shouldn't and that it wasn't good for her, but she felt like she had no other outreach. what could she do?
just as she was putting the blade away she heard footsteps from ahead of her.
"cat?"
