Tom paced the St. Mungo's waiting room. Apparently he showed up four hours before visiting times. He had never been this anxious to see someone he loved in agony.

"Tom Riddle is it?" A podgy woman came and tapped his shoulder

He nodded.

"Come with me, dearie. Don't you look young to be here?" She asked on her way down to the wards

He stayed silent.

"Not talkative, you're handsome though" she smiled.

Tom side eyed her and finally opened his mouth

"I'm not talkative because I only need to see her. Understand?"

"What are you to her, if you don't mind me asking?" The nurse looked at him

"Mistress." He merely replied

Her face dropped. And she escorted him inside.

"There's your mistress, m'dear. By the way you only get two hours" she walked out leaving the two

She was asleep, safe. She was safe. Her chest rose and deflated with every breath.

"Oh Avella if only I was there, seeing you so vulnerable..." he trailed off

He put her pale hand in his, it looked like the blood had be sucked out of her with that very wound. Until he felt a twitch, he looked to her moving face. Finally, he saw her lovely eyes open once more.

Avella didn't remember much. Why she was even there.

"Tom? What am I doing here? Where mother and father? Are they here? Take me back I don't want to be here" she started to panic

"Calm down, Vella. They'll be here" he soothed her

"What happened" she looked at him a sharp hiss came from her mouth as she moved

"I think you can already conjure up the answer" Tom tried to smile

"You're lucky your alive" Tom squeezed her hand

"I knew it was you. I thank you, even though, who knows if I'll remain like this." She corrected

"Don't say this now. It's nonsense." He hushed her

Avella dying was one of his biggest fears. More fearful than death itself.

"I don't want you to be in my dying arms tonight, Tom." She replied

"I said hush, now." He kissed her hand

"You do not hush me, Tom." She says

"How did you get the locket, Vella?" Tom asserted

She stayed silent.

"This proves that there is a locket of there is a ring, it is legend. Where did you get it?" He inched forward

"From a place where most dark things are hidden from the world" she smiled sickly

"Stop trifling with me here, Vells" he massaged his forehead

"All you want from me is answers i cannot unfold. You know what shop i mean, if that's all you want, it's best if you leave me." She rolls her eyes

"You are sublimely immaculate dear Avella. I plead you so greatly, we need to find that locket and diadem. That's all I ask for you" he dropped to his knees

"I do not care about your curiosities. I have helped you far enough for your mind to catch up with." She hoarsely

He stood up as he patted his long black cloak down

"You don't know what I know. You chase me great grief to know that you don't put your great minds and fuse them with mine." He came forward and caressed her face

"You assume to much of me. You made me a devotee of your committee before I even had the chance to say so, mistress as you call. I'm sure I am not needed once everything is done." She answered back

"No. I figure when everything is done it will be too late." He hastily says

"What are you implying, Tom? I am in a vulnerable position" She tried to hold his hand

"When we ought to marry..." he trailed off a gulped

"Who says I were to marry you?" She was quick to judge

He stood there in silence. Fiddling with his hands.

"As of now we are only coming into adulthood. When the coming of age I will choose a worthy man. Not anybody else" she defended

"You, are to have a.." he couldn't finish

"A child." She finished

He nodded

"I know that now. Why, do you think it's absurd to not have one?" She asked

"No! No. I mean, wouldn't you think the deatheaters need a successor?" He subtly hinted

"Tom, I cannot. This is wrong. Who says I'm to have kids at all?" She questioned

"Your time is up, please leave now, sir." The nurse knocked on the door

He took one glance and left. Avella was shaken up.

People had doubted her, underestimated her power. People never took her seriously as she wanted. She decided she needed a change.

But she couldn't with this wound still pestering. She apparently only had 8 more days in hospital. In those 8 days, Tom did not leave her side for one minute of the times they get to visit.

Avella wanted to make everyone know she was serious. But what does she do to change that?
She wanted to get her revenge. She will do it in the best possible way.
